"Abc (Nicer)" (stylized as "abc (nicer)" in game) by GAYLE is featured on Just Dance+.
The song was made free to play on Just Dance+ from February 27, 2023 to March 9, 2023 as a part of Season 1: Lover Coaster.
Appearance of the Dancer[]

The dancer is Arleen. She is a woman with maroon and dark purple split-colored hair (reminiscent of Gayle’s split-colored hair in the music video for the song), with fringes on her forehead. Aside from a pair of back-length pigtails tied by purple ribbons, the rest of her hair is flowing and messy. She also has maroon eyebrows, black eyelashes, pink and indigo faded eyeshadows below her eyes, and pink lips. A cluster of dark-colored tattoos spelling "ABCDEFU" is seen on her right arm, in a sharp and edgy font.
She wears a purple customized top, stylized like a broken heart. The front part has breast cups that are held in the center by a golden ring, with V-shaped straps going down to her dark violet shiny waist-high latex hot pants, leaving behind a large cleavage. The sides of her top are also held by a pair of three golden rings, with a strap that covers the middle section of her back. She also has dark purple shoulder straps, and a left full-sleeve with a stiff shoulder and hanging and shredded straps of fabric at the end of her sleeve. Her hot pants also feature a thin gold metallic heart-shaped buckle, with an infinity sign intersecting to it, as well as two golden strips by the left side. On her upper thighs are dark purple cross straps, with the right leg featuring a fishnet stocking. She also wears a pair of dark purple knee-length thick-soled boots, with pink laces on the left and violet laces on the right.
She also wears two black thin necklaces, two slightly bulky chained golden necklaces, a slightly longer and thinner chained golden necklace, and a pair of golden earrings with hanging letters suspended by chains, both of them containing the letters "F" and "U". Her glove is dark maroon, with a dark purple sleeve end on her red glove, and her faded illuminated outline is purple.
Background[]
The routine takes place in Carnivalium. The song starts with the title lit up (except D, E, F, and U, hinting at the clean version). The Love Coaster is visible in the background throughout the routine, with signs like "SHINE" and an arrow with "FUN ZONE" under it surrounding its entrance alongside a mist that changes color with the lights. When "forget you" is sung, the background becomes very bright, with Arleen standing in front of the Alphabet Tumble as the Love Coaster cars can be seen moving through a loop shaped like a heart while the song plays.
During the first chorus, sparks fly out of the Love Coaster tracks and signs to the beat of the song. During the second and final choruses, the track ignites itself on fire alongside 2 metal barrels flanking the signs as the blue flames on the track and in the barrels burn to the beat while the cars continue moving on it. When the routine comes to a close, Arleen swings her arm at the camera which drops to the ground.
Gold Moves[]
There are 2 Gold Moves in this routine, both of which are the same:
Both Gold Moves: Punch both of your arms up while kicking your left leg.

Trivia[]
General[]
- Excluding regional exclusives, Abc (Nicer) was the first song in the history of Just Dance to debut in Just Dance+.
- The clean version of the track is used in the game, where the original title "abcdefu" was changed to "abc (nicer)". This marks the fifth time a song title song has been replaced with its clean version, after Forget You, Sweet Little Unforgettable Thing, Work Work, and Boss Witch.
- As such, the following lyrical alterations are present:
- "B***h" is censored.
- "F**k" and "F" are replaced with "forget".
- "Ass" is replaced with "down".
- "S**t" (from "the s**t you call art") is replaced with "things".
- "S**t" (from "started s**t") is replaced with "hmm".
- "F**k off" is replaced with "get lost".
- Despite the clean version of the song being used in-game, the original title is still referenced via the opening title card (with "defu" not lighting up), Arleen’s tattoos ("ABCDE") and earrings ("F U"), and the codename of the map.
- As such, the following lyrical alterations are present:
- Unlike on YouTube and music streaming services, Gayle’s name is not stylized in all caps in-game.
- The lyrics are affected by the following anomalies:
- "The things you call art" is misread as "That things you call art".
- When "b***h" is censored, it is not replaced by a set of ellipses.
- The word "Craigslist" in "And your Craigslist couch" is not capitalized.
- Coincidentally, the same anomaly is present in the official lyrics.
Routine[]
- Arleen breaks the fourth wall at the end of the routine by making the camera fall off. This makes abc (nicer) the seventh map to break the fourth wall, after Futebol Crazy, Sexy And I Know It, You Spin Me Round (Like a Record), Mr. Blue Sky, Walking on Sunshine, and Wouldn’t It Be Nice.
- Some pictograms are placed slightly more upwards than the others.
- The pictograms are in default colors in the preview gameplay, as well as in Ubisoft’s email notifying the player that their Just Dance+ subscription is expiring.[2]
- On March 3, 2023, the official Just Dance Twitter account posted a tweet challenging players to reach a score of at least 11500 on Abc (Nicer).
- Later that day, they also explained that the Alphabet Tumble is designed and run by Arleen herself and is the craziest roller coaster in her Danceverse.[3]
- They further revealed that the Danceverse is called "Carnivalium" and that Arleen channeled her rage from a messy breakup into building the coaster, which is why it is the craziest one.[4] This is tied to the lyrical theme of the song, which is also about the aftermath of a breakup.
- Later that day, they also explained that the Alphabet Tumble is designed and run by Arleen herself and is the craziest roller coaster in her Danceverse.[3]
- In the promotional coach posted to Just Dance’s Twitter account, a dark violet spot can be seen under Arleen’s left foot.
- On April 9, 2023, to celebrate Easter, Just Dance’s French Twitter account posted a picture of Carnivalium with small eggs scattered around it, which followers had to find.[5]
