Ari is a recurring character who first appeared in Just Dance 2022, debuting in Good 4 U. She would later return in the map Vampire (as P2), from Just Dance 2024 Edition, and in the map One Last Time, from Just Dance 2025 Edition (as a background dancer). She is a student at Just Dance High School, along with her girlfriend, Grace.
Biography[]
Introduction and Meeting Grace[]
Ari is one of the students of Just Dance High School, located in Dancity. Her look varies throughout her maps, but she is commonly shown with bright pink hair, a blue punk outfit, and black elbow-length gloves. All of her outfits have a tartan pattern too.
She debuted in the map Good 4 U, where she transforms from a stereotypical nerd into her current style and personality. Throughout the map, different locations of the Just Dance High School campus are shown, including a hallway and a gymnasium (reappearing in Thank U, Next and Vampire respectively). In Good 4 U, she is shown to be angry for currently unknown reasons, with speculation that she is getting over a breakup.
In the end cutscene of Thank U, Next, the camera pans over to Grace’s locker, where photos of her with Ari can be seen, foreshadowing their relationship.
Prom Disaster[]
On Just Dance 2024 Edition, she appears in Vampire alongside Grace. At the beginning of the map, she is shown alone in the gymnasium of Just Dance High School.
The routine takes place following their prom, with Ari being mad for unknown reasons. When the first chorus ends, she join Grace, and the two comfort each other and hug romantically at the end.
Getting back together with Grace[]
On Just Dance 2025 Edition, she appears in One Last Time, where she is first seen texting with Grace. The former is sitting down in the gymnasium of Just Dance High School, whereas the latter is sitting in its hallway.
Grace texts Ari that she is thinking of ending things. Ari stands up and walks away, and Grace looks at her phone in shock and throws her phone away, thinking that Ari has purposefully left her on read; however, Ari reaches the hallway after the first chorus, and the two dance together. As the song ends, Ari hugs Grace from behind, and the two pinky swear and hug each other.

- Ari is the first confirmed lesbian character in the series.
- Ari and Grace are also the first confirmed same-sex couple in the series.
- Ari’s name is inspired by the lyrics from Thank U, Next "’Cause her name is Ari", which reinforces the canonical link between her and Grace.
- Ari was used to represent Pisces in promotional tweets for Season 1: Astral by the Just Dance Twitter account.[3][4]
- Ari’s name was revealed on March 10, 2023, through a TikTok posted by American Just Dance streamer ArianaKatana, in which she reached out to the loremaster.[5]
- According to Just Dance’s official social media accounts, Moxie, Just Dance High School’s rival, has won dance battles against Ari.[6]
- Despite not being a playable coach in the routine, Ari in her outfit from One Last Time appears on the box art and promotional material for Just Dance 2025 Edition.
