Trivia[]
General[]
- If Blame It on the Boogie was not covered, it would count as the second song by The Jackson 5 in the series, after I Want You Back.
- If spin-offs were counted, it would be the third one, being preceded by ABC and I Want You Back.
- Blame It on the Boogie is the only song in Just Dance 2014 to have both a Sweat Mashup and an Extreme routine.
- The credited artist is Mick Jackson (the original artist of the song), but the cover used for the game is in the style of The Jackson 5’s version.
- On the third chorus, "Don't blame it on the sunshine" is shown as "Don't the blame it on sunshine".
Classic[]
- Blame It on the Boogie and Could You Be Loved were the first two routines in the main Just Dance series to feature children as performers.
- According to former Just Dance lore master Aurore Bury, the aquarium in the background is a souvenir from Sun Horizon.[5]
- P2 and P3’s last pictograms are slightly shorter than the others.
- In one pictogram, P4’s shake emblem is accidentally bordeaux red (like P1’s) rather than yellowish to match her pictogram.
- The opening cutscene reappears in American Girl when "I was raised by a television" is sung. It is a reference to the sitcom theme of the routine.
- P3’s avatar initially did not have its collar.
- The background reappears in Cake By The Ocean.
Sweat Mashup[]
- Even though the Mashup is labelled a "Sweat" Mashup, it only features one Sweat dancer.
- Fine China (Extreme Version) is frozen for a little bit in the beginning.
- D.A.N.C.E.’s Gold Move is not counted as a Gold Move.
- This also happens in Troublemaker’s Mashup.
