"Born This Way" by Lady Gaga is featured on Just Dance 2016, Just Dance Now (for players who subscribed before April 9, 2024), Just Dance+ and Just Dance VR. The song was also featured on Just Dance Unlimited and 舞力无限, but was removed on August 1 and 2, 2024, respectively.
The song also has an Alternate routine titled "Nerd Version".
Appearance of the Dancers[]
The routine is performed by a trio consisting of a man, a non-binary person, and a woman. In Just Dance VR, only P2 is playable.
P2[]
P2 is Adameve. They[a] are a non-binary person with long red hair dangling on the right side of their head. While not visible in the routine, on the assets they wear lipstick and mascara on the right side of their face and none on the left. They wear half a navy blue blazer which covers a pink top on the left side of their torso, as well as half a black bra over a black lace shirt on the right, a pair of black one-legged long pants, a cyan glove, and navy blue heels, one of which has a leg strap. Their outfit is androgynous, being based to be half masculine and half feminine.
P1/P3[]
The backup dancers are Copper and Silver. They both wear black diamond encrusted masks and black suits with matching shoes. Copper’s suit has red accents, and Silver’s suit has white accents. Copper is a man and Silver is a woman.
Background[]
The routine takes place in a circular warehouse. The walls have black curved bars, around are some light up squares and shining lights. The floors have a white circular lace design. The background is shown to start off as royal blue, and transitions to red. Numerous clones of the backup dancers are shown during the routine. At the chorus, the ceiling curves down with the wall and flashes white on the bars. The middle circle is a fiery orange and the walls rotate accordingly. The background turns black and flashes the dancers in the three circles. During the bridge, the dancers will appear one at a time on the panel behind them.
Mashup[]
Born This Way has a Trio Mashup with the theme Triplets which can be unlocked for 1,000 Mojocoins (or 20 Mojocoins for all old-gen consoles). It features trios whose dancers are similar in appearance.

Trivia[]
General[]
- Born This Way is the fourth song by Lady Gaga in the series.
- Born This Way was the first track in Just Dance 2016 to be revealed via Instagram.[3]
- The track used in-game is from the NOW That’s What I Call Music collection album 20th Anniversary, Vol 1.
- The starting lines such as "It doesn’t matter if you love him" and the concluding lines such as "Same DNA, but born this way" have been removed from the track.
- Autodance files for a scrapped Community Remix for the song can be found in the Autodance servers.
Classic[]
- In the menu square, Adameve appears to be missing their make-up.
- P2’s name, Adameve, is a reference to Adam and Eve, the first man and woman on Earth according to the Bible.
- According to the behind the scenes video, the outfits and the background were inspired by Cabaret Codes.
- Similar to Hey Mama, the unplayable backup dancers in the background are performed by the same respective person according to the behind the scenes footage.
- In the Behind-the-Scenes footage of Boom Clap, the backup dancers’ outfits from this song can be seen; this suggests that the production of Just Dance 2016 was started before finishing Just Dance 2015.[4]
- As seen in a rehearsal for the song, P3 was supposed to be performed by Aurélie Sériné. However, in the final game, she was performed by Grace Bolebe.
- Adameve was teased through a silhouette posted on Facebook.
- Eight unused pictograms can be found in the old Just Dance Now servers.
- In the Just Dance Now menu, Born This Way and Hey Mama were accidentally placed before Bad Romance for a short period of time. The error was fixed later.
- Born This Way was played during the Grand Final of the Just Dance World Cup 2015.[5]
- The background reappears in Don’t Stop Me Now (Panda Version) and Don't Worry.
- Adameve returns in Telephone along with Claire Obscure, Jane Wayne, Shadow Rider, Icona Shard, Indra, Aro’Ha, and Countess Butterfly.
Mashup[]
- Born This Way (Mashup) is the only Trio Mashup in the whole Just Dance series.
- If played as P2, the Mashup ties with #thatPOWER and Hangover (BaBaBa) for the highest amounts of Gold Moves in a Mashup, with 8.
- Boys (Summertime Love) is the only Trio in the Mashup to have a female middle dancer.
Party Master Mode[]
- Born This Way’s Party Master Mode is the second and final one to have the coach from the Alternate routine as the main dancer, after that of What Makes You Beautiful.
- If the Party Master chooses All About That Bass for the song switch, there is a possible chance for the game to remove all characters and stay idle. The only way to fix this is to pause the routine and restart.[citation needed]
- Heart of Glass’ caption in her first appearance is "Vintage Dancefloor", but is titled as "Happy housewife" in her second appearance.
- Love You Like A Love Song is placed farther from the screen.[6]

Notes[]
^[a] The behind the scenes interview for the song used she/her pronouns for the dancer.[9] However, Littlesiha used they/them pronouns to refer to the coach[10], and later it was confirmed by former lore-master Aurore that Adameve has they/them pronouns.[11]
