Trivia[]
General[]
- Bloody Mary and Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2 were the only songs in the "Just Dance Legends" playlist that did not debut in their respective game through their main track list.
- "S**t" and "blowin’" (from "blowin’ her back") are censored.
- "Damn" is also censored and is omitted entirely instead of being replaced with ellipses.
- Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2 debuted in the Just Dance series through Just Dance+ as part of Season 2: Y2K, which was themed around the 2000s, despite it actually being released in 2023.
- Its inclusion appears to be due to its status as a hit for the Jersey club genre, which initially blossomed at the turn of the millennium, with publications noting how the song calls back to the early days of the genre amongst other 2000s elements.[4]
- Coincidentally, Ice Spice’s album, released in July 2024, is also titled Y2K.
- The Home menu banner has a typo in the song title, reading "an" instead of "a".
- On the CD with the track list of Season 2: Y2K posted on Just Dance’s Twitter account, PinkPantheress’s name has a space between the two words, unlike in-game.[5]
- Besides, the names of the two artists are joined by an ampersand rather than by a comma.
Routine[]
- Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2 is the first routine in the history of Just Dance to be choreographed by Rayane Recinos.[2]
- It is also the first routine to feature Lou-Ann Pédeboscq as a performer.[3]
- On the social media banner for Season 2: Y2K, the following differences can be noticed in the coaches’ color schemes:
- Bunee has a darker color scheme and his glove is green instead of cobalt blue.
- Xime’s hair and the cobalt blue and pink parts of her outfit are in a brighter shade of blue, her hair ties and the fur on her crop top are in a righter shade of pink, her glove is red instead of yellow, her skirt is magenta instead of pink, and her belt is golden instead of silver.
- In the preview gameplay, the pictograms have default colors.
- On March 12, 2024, Just Dance’s official Twitter account posted a screenshot of the bottom left corner of the routine with pictograms being replaced by the old icons of MSN Messenger with edits. The caption reads "Replacing the in-game pictos with these bad boys, wyd about it".[6]
- The MSN Messenger icons reappear as a computer icon on a meme posted by Just Dance’s Twitter account for Season 2: Y2K, which consists of a desktop based on Windows XP featuring several references to the Just Dance series.[7]
- During the first Gold Move, Bunee actually takes his cellphone out of his pocket.
- Despite Bunee being featured in the cover of the "Pop Party" song pack, Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2 is not featured on it.
