"Break My Heart" by Dua Lipa was featured on Just Dance Unlimited and 舞力无限, but was removed on August 1 and 2, 2024, respectively. The song remains playable on Just Dance Now (for players who subscribed before April 9, 2024).
Stills from the routine were released as promotional pictures for Just Dance 2022, but the song was absent from the game’s final track list. The song’s existence was first confirmed by promotional screenshots whose file names contained its title,[1] as well as in an advertisement that showed some of the choreography from the routine.[2]
Appearance of the Dancer[]

The dancer is a woman named Vaness,[3] who wears a vintage-style casual wear. She wears a light green bucket hat with a thick black slightly sparkly border around the hat, with her amethyst purple hair peeking out at the sides. She wears a bright red cropped cardigan with black borders on the lapel and pockets, and black bands on the arm sleeves. She also wears a light green plaid skirt, powder blue ankle socks, and pink heels with three straps. Across her body is a light pink sling bag designed to resemble lips with light golden chains, and on her wrists are a pair of differently designed light golden bracelets, with the left bracelet in a circular design and the right bracelet in a teardrop-shaped design. Whenever she performs certain moves, faint sparkles and monarch butterflies fly from her hands and back respectively, sometimes appearing separately in different parts of the choreography. She has a dark blue glove and has a bold white-to-black outline, with the outer outline being wider than the inner outline.
Background[]
The routine utilizes a minimalistic art style while four colors are used: pastel teal, briar rose pink, white, and black. All black colored parts bear a constant glittering effect. Whenever a background change involving a rip is used, the new background starts off as black and white before gaining colors.
During the verses, the background sets within a sidewalk that features cafés, stores, shops and centers. The ground is black, and the background slowly scrolls to the right as the dancer walks. All of the walls are shown to be made with bricks or cobblestones. Light green plants and ferns are propped outside of the buildings, either in a light cyan cylinder pot or a briar rose pink rectangular box. Miscellaneous props such as a parked bike, stools, hanging bags and propped blackboards are seen outside of the buildings as well.
Each building is mostly distinct from each other. The first building has half of its sign visible, reading "Zerowaste", and the wares are shown to be various types of bags and baskets, all in "sales cycles". The second building is a bakery named "Bread Time", with its slogan being "Great Taste In Every Bite". "Enjoy the freshness" is seen by the large glass window and the propped bike is seen parked in front of it. The third building is an outdoor café named "Better Together", where it is shown to be selling coffee, donuts, and beverages, and has a menu inside the café . The fourth building is a shop named "Crossroads Bookstore", which has two entrances.
During the pre-chorus, the background quickly changes its color to pastel teal while the dancer is standing on a black ground with a pattern made of light gray hearts, which light up faintly in an occasion. The background is quickly covered by a large foliage cluster of black and pastel teal tropical leaves. Props and items such as white and briar rose pink roses, white busts of women in Greco-Roman style, light pink sun caps with a large briar rose pink bow, sling bags, and large handbags with white tags are seen placed randomly within the foliage.
During the choruses, the background changes into a nature-themed bedroom, which has a briar rose pink and black arc with pastel teal column sections by the sides. The walls and floor of the room are pastel teal, with the floor tiled and having black rhombuses in the center. The roof above is tiled with segments that alter to a darker or a lighter shade, and the darker colored tiles have a thin pastel teal accent below. The dancer is standing outside of the room and into the briar rose pink hexagon-tiled outdoors, where there are light pastel teal and black tropical foliage by the sides. In the first half of the chorus, a chained sling bag and a handbag are seen hanging on the leaves, where they move away and off-screen. In the second half of the chorus, an owl and a lemur can be seen instead, although they remain in the background as opposed to the bags. The interior details of the bedroom are constantly shifted to show different segments dedicated to a bedroom, a makeup room and a bathroom.
The bedroom segment contains a large half-circle closed segmented window that shows a briar rose pink outdoors and a large black fern, a pastel teal and black analog clock where a large section is briar rose pink and a large white bed with briar rose pink bed covering draped vertically. The bed also contains black, pastel teal, white and pastel teal with white striped pillows, while a large pastel teal fern is placed behind the bed. A dark briar rose pink rag is seen partially peeking out of the bed. Additional furniture such as a black cushy rotatable chair, a briar rose pink propped lamp and a white clothed stand with a small pastel teal potted plant are present. Two rectangular frames, one colored pastel teal and white and another briar rose pink and white, are seen in the background, with the former propped behind the lamp and the latter placed in the wall. The second frame contains light pastel teal leaves in a black background. Above the ceiling are two hanging pastel teal lights.
The makeup room segment contains a large briar rose pink open window and a mounted light briar rose pink deer buck. There is a small briar rose pink table with small cabinets, which is standing on a circular white, black and light briar rose pink rag. A thin cylinder glass vase with three flowers, a propped black frame with a multicolored butterfly and a small night lamp are placed on top of the table. In front of it is an angled circular chair with a white and pastel teal lap pillow, with a coat draped by the sides. Two black mannequins are seen on the right side, each of them wearing a different dress. The first mannequin is shown wearing a white long-sleeved tucked-in blouse, a briar rose pink circular hat propped behind the mannequin's shoulders, a long briar rose pink skirt and a sling bag across it. The second mannequin is shown wearing a briar rose pink dress with slightly puffed sleeves, a V-shaped cleavage, a tight waist and a frilly skirt. A small cylinder plant pot with black plants is placed between the mannequins and a pair of briar rose pink boots are seen next to the second mannequin's stand.
The bathroom segment contains a briar rose pink vintage bathtub, which is placed on a rug identical to the one in the makeup room segment. There is also a white and light pink-striped towel resting in the edge of the bathtub. Two small stools, one briar rose pink with a pastel teal surface and the other light pink with black surface that has a small pastel teal potted plant, are seen in the left side of the tub. Behind the tub is a tall circular lamp. The right is another small desk, with a very small potted plant and two circular mirrors of different sizes, and small bottles of cosmetics. A small cushioned chair with a heart-shaped back is propped in front of the table. There is also another potted plant placed between the tub and the table, and another pastel teal hanging light with a more stylistic design is seen in the right. Briar rose pink and white curtains are seen by the sides, with the left tied and the right remain hanging. Unopposed to the previous segments, the bathroom segment features three segmented windows instead of one.
During the bridge, the background turns into a kaleidoscope of leaves, and other items on a light pink background that changes to black with white sparkles.

Trivia[]
- Break My Heart is the seventh song by Dua Lipa in the series, as well as her second song in Just Dance 2022 including Just Dance Unlimited exclusives.
- Break My Heart and Can’t Hold Us were the last songs to be added to Just Dance Unlimited, other than limited-time songs from Just Dance 2023 Edition (which were each removed from the service after a week). The service was replaced by Just Dance+ from that game onward.
- In the song description file, it can be seen that the artist’s name has an additional space at the end.
- The routine uses moves from the song’s official music video.
- During the first verse, when the background gains color, the lettering on the windows of the "Crossroads Bookstore" disappears and is not present for the rest of the routine.
- The routine has been recorded in more than one take, as shown by a few glitchy transitions that happen before the first pre-chorus, before the second verse, and before the second pre-chorus.
- In one promotional gameplay image, the bakery sign in the background reads "Harlow Cheesemonger Bakery" with "Harlow Bakery" on the front door. In the final routine, the name is changed to "Bread Time", additionally with the slogan "Great Taste In Every Bite".
- Despite not being featured on the game, Vaness was used for a promotional video celebrating the release of Just Dance 2022.[6]
- One of the several backgrounds can be seen on the NTSC Just Dance 2022 disc.[7]
- This was mentioned by Just Dance’s official Twitter account after the release in Just Dance Unlimited, in response to a user who had tagged Amazon and Just Dance asking why the coach appeared in promotional material for Just Dance 2022 but not in the game itself.[8]
- Vaness can be seen on the start screen of Just Dance 2022.
- Akin to offline Just Dance 2022 maps, song rewards for Break My Heart are displayed in the song selection menu, but its normal and golden avatars are not earned for completing the respective conditions.
- This is due to the array controlling rewards including songs that were cut from the game later in development, with the assets for avatars being locked in later.[9]
- The avatars are present in the Just Dance Unlimited servers, unobtainable through normal means.

- According to a post by Just Dance’s official Twitter account, Vaness owns an owl and a lemur as pets and feeds them pastries every Sunday.[10]
- However, owls and lemurs actually cannot eat pastries, as they would be dangerous or even poisonous to their body systems.
- In a comment under the post, the Just Dance account also references the hackers that hacked the Dancer of the Week function during the end of July 2022.[11]
