"Canned Heat" by Jamiroquai is featured on Just Dance 2024 Edition. The song was also made free for three weeks as part of the Just Dance 2024 Edition Celebration event.
Appearance of the Dancer[]
The dancer is Wanderlust. His appearance has been kept the same.
At the beginning of the routine, Wanderlust can be seen wearing The Traveler’s cloak, appearing as a shadowy figure. Once the intro of the song begins, the cloak falls off to reveal Wanderlust.
Throughout the entire song, Discoball can be seen dancing along with Wanderlust.
Background[]
The background takes place in the Lobby of Danceverses, located in the Space Time Hotel from Rock Your Body.
After the intro, the camera pans into the hotel lobby as Wanderlust does tricks with Discoball as if it were a basketball. It continues to fly around throughout the routine. The tile Wanderlust is standing on starts to float as the floor of the lobby drops into space. The tile then settles on the ceiling, where disco lights turn on and squares featuring past routines float around Wanderlust.
The other Just Dancers appear in larger portals with the caption "Starring [name]" on it, similar to a sitcom intro. The first says "Starring Brezziana", and she appears on the Workout Flamingo Beach and waves to the camera and performs some of the same moves as Wanderlust. The tile then goes back to the floor in a different area of the lobby, this time with stairs on either side of the room.
The lights pulse to the beat of the song. The floor then fades away again as Wanderlust’s tile floats onto the ceiling, where the disco lights and previous routines appear again. Mihaly is introduced next, standing in their bedroom. Similar to Brezziana, they do some of the same moves as Wanderlust before their rectangle floats off screen.
Sara appears next, this time in her human form in her living room. She waves to the camera and puts her hands on her hips before her portal floats off screen. At one point, the portal briefly glitches with purple electricity and fog. The disco lights fade away and the tile goes back into the main part of the lobby from earlier in the routine. The same transition to the ceiling occurs again, this time with Jack Rose’s intro. He appears in the same room as his original routine and performs some of the same moves before fading away.
Wanderlust’s tile then goes back to the main part of the lobby, this time with purple disco lights illuminating the entire room. He then goes back towards the stairs, without the disco lights, and the floor partially fades away. Sara’s portal reappears without the caption and Wanderlust tosses her Discoball. However, this was actually an illusion and the portal fades to reveal she was actually Night Swan in a dark room. The caption "Special Guest Night Swan" appears below the rectangle. Then Night Swan, with Discoball in hand, closes the portal, which is now surrounded by thick purple fog. The routine ends with a fade to black, transitioning to a cutscene that shows Night Swan infecting Discoball with the purple fog. Discoball’s eyes turn purple, signifying it is now the evil Dark Discoball.
