"Cool For The Summer" by Demi Lovato is featured on Just Dance 2016, Just Dance Now (for players who subscribed before April 9, 2024), and Just Dance+. The song was also featured on Just Dance Unlimited and 舞力无限, but was removed on August 1 and 2, 2024, respectively.
This song was also created with an early routine prior to the finalized one.
Appearance of the Dancer[]
The dancer is a woman named Vespera, who has black braided hair, and sunglasses. She wears a casual Summer get-up consisting of a black vest with golden glittery collars, a black bikini top with the side being orange and teal, violet glittery shorts, and black gladiator stiletto sandals. There is also a flame-like cyan and purple effect surrounding the dancer. Her glove is Puerto Rico teal.
Background[]
The background is mainly pink and yellow with colored lines and circles. The lines and circles slowly shift around. During the chorus, dark squares appear in the center, such squares flash red and rotate. As they spiral forth, a twirling line is present behind them and change shape.

The song has a Mashup that was scrapped for unknown reasons.

Trivia[]
General[]
- Cool For The Summer is the first song by Demi Lovato in the main series.
- Including her appearances in Just Dance Kids, Just Dance Kids 2014, and Just Dance: Disney Party, it is her fourth song in the franchise.
- Cool For The Summer was revealed during the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards after Demi’s performance of this song. This marks the third time the inclusion of a song in a Just Dance title is confirmed during the MTV Video Music Awards, after Bang Bang and Black Widow in 2014.
- "F**k" is censored.
Routine[]
- Vespera’s outfit resembles the one worn by Demi Lovato in the music video for the song.
- Vespera originally had a completely different outfit, as well as major differences in the background. The choreography was mostly the same as the final one, but with some moves being performed differently, especially during the intro and the first part of the bridge.
- The beta coach appears to have unedited facial features, likely implying the version was scrapped in early development.
- On the seventh generation console versions of Just Dance 2016, after playing Cool For The Summer and unlocking the respective avatar, the avatar’s collar is purple. However, when viewed in the avatar shop, the avatar’s collar is golden with some spikes, like in other versions of the game.
- In the Just Dance Unlimited preview, the background is less detailed during the chorus. When the chorus ends, the background is replaced by a black screen.[2]
Mashup[]
- The coaches of Katti Kalandal retain their original color schemes instead of those from the remake.
