"Die Young" by Kesha (formerly known as Ke$ha) was featured as a downloadable track on Just Dance 4, but has since become unavailable for purchase following the delisting of Just Dance 4 DLCs from various online stores, as well as the shutdowns of said platforms.
It remains available as a downloadable track for Just Dance 2014 on Xbox One worldwide, and Just Dance 2014/2015 on PS4 in NTSC regions, and it is also featured on Just Dance Now (for players who subscribed before April 9, 2024). It was also featured on Just Dance Unlimited and 舞力无限, but was removed on August 1 and 2, 2024, respectively.
Appearance of the Dancers[]
The dancers appear to be women.
P1[]
P1 has blue hair that has been put up in a bun with a pink bow bandana on it. She wears a loose teal shirt with a pink lightning bolt on it, some light wash shorts with a pink belt, and red combat boots. She also wears a persian blue glove.
P2[]
P2 has long wavy dark purple-blue ombre hair. She wears a pink leather vest with a teal crop top under it, black ripped jeans, an iris blue glove, and a pair of pink trainers.
Background[]
The routine takes place in a desert. There is a pink campfire and a motorcycle near them. During the routine, shadows appear with colored lights and wave them around. They also dance with the coaches at some points. While they dance, lots of pink smoke surround them. The sky also spins around at some points. At some points of the song, the fire circles around the dancers.
Gold Moves[]
There are 3 Gold Moves for this routine:
Gold Moves 1 and 2: Pose with your right hand on your chin while supporting your right hand with your left hand. The move is done one at a time, starting from P1 to P2.
Gold Move 3:
- P1: Move your left hand on a straight path while your left arm is on your hips.
- P2: Move your right arm in a curved path.

Trivia[]
General[]
- Die Young is the third song by Kesha in the series.
- It is also the only Duet routine for a song by Kesha to not have a panda dancer.
- Die Young along with Funhouse, Gangnam Style, and Professor Pumplestickle are the only 4 songs to appear as DLC for 3 games.
- "Stripping" and "pants" are censored.
- When viewed in the Just Dance 4 store, "stripping" is not censored.
- Die Young (along with Gangnam Style, Beauty and a Beat, Moves Like Jagger, and Funhouse) has been in three consecutive games: Just Dance 4, Just Dance 2014, and Just Dance 2015.
- The line "Take my hand I’ll show you the wild side" first appears in one line, but then it appears divided in two lines ("Take my hand/I’ll show you the wild side") for the rest of the song.
- Also, when it is the last time "Let’s make the most of the night like we’re gonna die young" is sung, it is divided into three lines ("Let’s make the most of the night/like we’re gonna/die young").
- In Just Dance 4, Just Dance 2014, and Just Dance Now, "Who’s" from the line "Don’t care who’s watching" is misspelled as "Whose".
- In the lyrics, "watching" (from the line "Don’t care who’s watching") appears as "watchin’" in Just Dance 4. In all the other games, however, it appears as "watching".
Routine[]
- Die Young is the first post-Just Dance 3 routine to have remade pictograms in later appearances.
- Die Young is one of the few post-Just Dance 3 songs to receive changes in its graphics in later appearances.
- In this case, the background has received more effects, P2’s glove color has been changed from green to light blue, and the outline has been changed from magenta to cobalt blue.
- The motorbike is recycled from Born To Be Wild, but with slightly different effects.
- Along with Baby Girl and Primadonna, Die Young was accidentally released for a brief amount of time on the PlayStation Network on March 29, 2013.
- In Just Dance 4, the coaches are affected by a mask glitch that makes their arms thinner.
- This glitch has been fixed in later appearances.
- On Just Dance 2015 for seventh-generation consoles, however, the glitch is still present.[citation needed]
- This glitch has been fixed in later appearances.
- On Just Dance Now, the newer graphics are used, as opposed to the older version on Just Dance 2015 prior to November 25, 2014.
- Following November 25, 2014, in Just Dance 2015, the newer version is used on eighth-generation consoles.
- In the official announcement of Die Young’s release on Just Dance Now, the coaches are in their Just Dance 4 form in spite of the updated version being used in-game.
- In the Just Dance Now preview, the Gold Move effect is absent.
