"Don’t Cha" (Extreme Version) is featured on Just Dance 2024 Edition.
Appearance of the Dancer[]
The dancer is Layl, P1 from Wasabi (Extreme Version).
She has purple hair and wears thin purple eyebrows, gold eyeshadow, and bold purple lips. Her makeup complements her vibrant style. She wears a choker with her name on it. Layl sports a bright blue crop top with a zipper and an attached cat-ear hood, revealing an orange jaguar-style bra underneath. Straps connect Layl's bra to the crop top. Layl pairs it with a blue skirt featuring a gold buckle and loose strings with rings hanging in the front. Additionally, she wears black shorts with triangle cuts on the sides.
She also wears long black boots with laces in a rainbow of colors. Layl's arms are covered with two sleeves, one long on the right and a short one on the left. She also wears a pink glove on her right hand. The majority of her outfit showcases graffiti-like designs.
During the first Gold Move, Layl's color scheme changes briefly. Her color scheme becomes flat-colored. The blue parts in her outfit turn pink, and the graffiti and jaguar-prints on her crop top turn yellow, as well as her hood. Additionally, her hair turns black and her glove color changes to blue.
Background[]
The routine takes place in the rooftop of a building in Dancity at night.[2]
The map begins under a canvas of the night sky, with the title card displayed on a big brick wall behind Layl, with turquoise and pink paint drips that pulsate to the rhythm of the song. The roofline of the rooftop is carved with cursive words like "WhineUp," "Oye," and "Bailo".
As the intro begins, the camera gracefully pans to the left, revealing more buildings in the cityscape. The camera then pans back and unveils a transformed backdrop after the title card is gone. It is replaced by new carvings on the brick wall, including a radiant star, the words "OH OH OH" (mirroring the font and style of the latter on Layl’s crop top), and a drawing of a Cupid statue from Scarlet’s Palace. The roofline carvings persist, now joined by a drawing of a boombox with triangles atop it on the adjacent brick wall.
Throughout the entire song the background undergoes through color transformations: The first verse features the skyline in a deep blue hue and casts a shadow on the brick walls. The second verse transitions the scene to shades of purple, with the distant buildings having a pink tint and the brick walls adopting a dark red tone. The third verse features the sky in turquoise, the backdrop buildings in beige, and the brick walls in pitch black, highlighting the drawings colored in bubblegum pink. The changes in color on the verses also apply to the choruses following them.
During the choruses, the backdrop transits into an alternate setting on the same rooftop, showing a glimpse of the urban side of Dancity. This side of the background features buildings sprayed with street art of the Classic map’s coaches and digital billboards showcasing the coaches of Que Tire Pa Lante and Mister Overload. The scenary also features additional elements like skylights and air conditioning units to the rooftop.
During Gold Move 1, the background shifts into various comic book coloring styles, such as cross-hatching and half-tone. A burst bubble in vivid yellow can be seen behind Layl, and the comic styles extend to fill the background with distinct patterns, such as vertical lines on buildings, solid red on skylights, and a horizontal line pattern for Layl's shadow.
The routine concludes with a return to the original scene – Layl positioned behind two prominent brick walls. The color scheme echoes the original tones of deep blue, with the title card reappearing on the brick wall at the forefront.
