"E.T." by Katy Perry is featured on the Best Buy (NTSC)/Special (PAL) Edition of Just Dance 3. The song is also featured on Just Dance Now, Just Dance Unlimited, 舞力无限, and Just Dance+. The song was originally intended to be on Just Dance: Greatest Hits, but was scrapped for unknown reasons.[2]
Appearance of the Dancer[]
Original[]
The dancer is a female alien named Rusga'thors. Her hair is dark blue and is styled in a strange and alien shape with lime green highlights. She wears a one-shouldered, oddly shaped bodysuit, which was colored purple, orange, and black, and looks reptilian, armlets, and orange high-heeled boots with green highlights. She also wears a visible face makeup resembling those Katy Perry wore in the official music video, comprising on black and blue eyeshadows, lime green upside down triangle on her forehead, and dark purple lipstick. She also wears a vivid green glove and she has a dark blue outline.
Remake[]
In the remake, she is made to be more realistic and she has a slightly altered color scheme. Her hair is a more black color, and all blue parts in the outfit are in a shade of purple, and the orange parts are in a darker shade of orange. Additionally, all lime green parts and her glove have yellowish tint in it. Her outline glows soft blue.
Background[]
Just Dance 3 (Wii/PS3)/Remake[]
The background is based off of outer space. There is a purple swirling aurora. The dancer is standing on a purple platform which displays kaleidoscopic reflections of the coach in some way. There are purple glowing lights behind, near the wall. When the alien dances, the lights on the globe she is standing on follow her dance rhythm.
Just Dance 3 (Xbox 360)[]
The Xbox 360 background is blue and has planets of different sizes. There are zooming lines and the dancer is standing on a dark blue transparent platform that only displays shapes during the chorus.
Gold Moves[]
There are 3 Gold Moves in this routine:
Gold Moves 1 and 2: Move your right arm below your hips as you slowly rise up.
Gold Move 3: Put both arms apart from each other and hold the pose.

Trivia[]
General[]
- E.T. is the fourth song by Katy Perry in the series.
- E.T. is the song with the shortest title in Just Dance 3, with only four characters.
- Excluding songs from Dance on Broadway, E.T. is the second song whose codename is entirely spelled in all caps, after S.O.S..
- There are two versions of the song: one that features a verse from Kanye West, and one only with Katy Perry. The latter is used in-game.
- Despite this, the UK preview gameplay incorrectly states that the game uses the version with Kanye West.
- Files for E.T. can be found in the files of Just Dance: Greatest Hits.[2]
Routine[]
- In the files of Just Dance 3, Rusga’thors’s platform is rendered together with her.
- However, in certain Mashups and Puppet or Party Master modes, the platform was removed.
- A remade version of E.T. was shown on a showreel uploaded on Vimeo between 2012 and 2013. It is notably different from the remake used from Just Dance Now onwards: Rusga’thors’s body consists of glowing rainbow bubbles, her outline is dark blue, the small linear lights are missing, and there are more reflections.[3]
- Rusga’thors makes a cameo in the background of Just Dance.
- When the files of E.T. were initially uploaded to the old Just Dance Now servers, the pictograms were reused from Just Dance 3 (even though Rusga’thors’s glove was recolored from lime green to yellow). However, upon the URL update "20150408_1230", all the pictograms were remade with the Just Dance 2016 model, with the props now matching the color of her glove.
- Besides, Rusga’thors was originally placed on the left rather than in the middle in the in-game cover.
- On the menu assets of the remake, Rusga’thors is in a darker color scheme.
- In the remake, the reflections showing Rusga’thors’s glove remain lime green, although the glove color has been changed to yellow.
- In the Just Dance+ release announcement, the routine is not revealed through a Just Dance 2023 Edition gameplay, but rather with an altered version of the Just Dance Now preview, which uses the Just Dance 2018 pictogram bar instead of the one from Just Dance 2016.[4]
