Background[]
The routine takes place inside of a hair salon. The dancers perform the routine seated in three salon chairs with dryers mounted on the back.
The routine starts with the exterior of the place, showing a blurred window that has a brownish-pink tint and an open blue blinds curtain. The walls are pink, with a barber's pole on the right side. The title card is located in the opening of the window, surrounded on the top and bottom by a graphic design of a scissor with swirls surrounding it. As the camera zooms into the interior, Cappuccine holds a green coffee cup while Valencia reads a magazine with the word "ESPRESSO" colored in white, as well as Chalina, the coach from the classic routine (in her Despechá appearance) on the cover. Cappuccine places her cup on a two-tiered serving cart to her left, which has 2 drinks and 2 oranges, and Valencia closes the magazine and puts it on a stool to her right.
The interior of the saloon includes a wall with 4 layers: the baseboard, the middle row that contains two-colored patterns that vary throughout the routine and houses 4 portraits of other coaches with a simple gradient background and a boarder that randomly changes color, a checker pattern that inverts, and a solid wall with 3 illuminated signs. One glows yellow and says the word "Saloon", One glows blue and says "Beauty" and above both of them is a symbol of a girl having her hair blown, which changes it's glow through the verses. The floor is a black and white pattern, with the pattern changing throughout the song.
The portraits are of these coaches, shuffled out between the verses in no specific order:
In the choruses, the hair blowing sign and the chairs are banana yellow, and everything else is in different shades of pink. The floor's pattern is argyle, and the middle wall's pattern is checkered and follows the movement of the coaches. In the final chorus, bubbles float up from everywhere.
In the verses, the hair blowing sign is purple, the chairs are aquamarine, the checkers are dark blue and yellow, and everything else is in different shades of green. The floor's pattern is checkered, and the middle wall's pattern is diamonds that swipe up and down.
In the pre-choruses, the hair blowing sign is blue, the chairs are purple, the checkers are dark orange and purple, and everything else is in different shades of orange. The floor's pattern is a zebra-like zigzag, and the middle wall's pattern is the shape of small hairdryers, which pulse on beat and follow the movement of the coaches.
Gold Moves[]
There is 1 Gold Move in this routine:
Gold Move: Pose accordingly:
- P1: While facing to the right, reach to the right with your right arm.
- P2: Put your hands on the side of your head while kicking your right foot forward.
- P3: Face to the left and put your hands on the sides of your glasses lenses while moving your right leg to the left.
Trivia[]
- Espresso (Hair Salon Version) is the first seated routine since Rare (Fairy Version) to not feature either benches or a bar at the coaches' waists in the pictograms.
- Cappuccine is seen not lip syncing properly in the pre-chorus.
- Cleo's second portrait is a zoomed in crop of Don’t Go Yet’s cover, which causes the portrait to show the background.
