"Bad Romance" (Official Choreo) is playable on Just Dance 2015 and 舞力全开2015, where it is the fifth alternate routine that can be unlocked through normal gameplay. It is also featured on Just Dance Unlimited, 舞力无限, Just Dance Now, and Just Dance+.

Appearance of the Dancer[]

Badromancealt coach 1 big

The coach is a man with short black hair. He wears a dark pink transparent mask, a teal one-sleeved cropped shirt that is highly cut on the left, a dark pink crop top and black shorts with a black satin belt. He also wears dark pink and blue striped socks, black boots. His glove is blue and fingerless.

Background[]

It uses the common Extreme background from the previous game; an array of flashing platforms and quadrilaterals. The colors that flash are red, violet, and teal. The squares move around in different positions.

Gold Moves[]

There are 3 Gold Moves in this routine:

Gold Moves 1 and 2: Bring your arms downward and give your legs a slight shake while kneeling.
Gold Move 3: Quickly bring your arms upward and give them a strike.

Community Remix[]

Bad Romance (Official Choreo) has a Community Remix featuring the finalists from the 2014 Just Dance World Cup. Thus, it is the first 'themed' Community Remix in the series.

Routine[]

  • Bad Romance (Official Choreo) is the second routine in the main series to reuse the entire official choreography for the song, after Applause (Alternate).
    • The choreography was made with Lady Gaga’s official choreographer, Richard "Richy" Jackson.
  • The menu square for Bad Romance (Official Choreo) is visible in the updated Just Dance Unlimited promotional video on Just Dance 2020, despite it not being available on Just Dance Unlimited until Season 1: Astral.
    • This also happens in an Instagram story posted by Just Dance’s official account to announce the availability of a month-long Just Dance Unlimited subscription,[6] as well as in a promotional video for Just Dance Unlimited via Just Dance 2022.[7][8]
  • In the trailer for Season 1: Astral, the tarot cards refer to the coach as "The Fool".
  • The Just Dance Unlimited preview gameplay on the international Just Dance YouTube channel only lasts 45 seconds rather than one minute and 15 seconds, showing only 30 seconds of footage.
    • Additionally, the pictograms have default colors and the frame rate has been dropped to 15 FPS.
    • The previews on the European Just Dance channels, however, last one minute and 10 seconds.
  • In the preview on Just Dance Now, the pictograms are from Just Dance 2015 and the pictogram bar and Gold Move effect are from Just Dance 2017.
  • In Just Dance Now, there is a glitch with the avatar, which causes the game to unlock the avatar for Problem instead of the correct one when playing Bad Romance (Official Choreo).
  • Two pictograms for Bad Romance (Official Choreo) can be seen in the background of the page "Comment on fait: une choré Just Dance" on the website Ubisoft Stories.[9]
  • The routine can be spotted in the background of Can’t Stop the Feeling! (Danceverse Prince Version)
  • On Twitter, the Just Dance community manager has jokingly referred to the coach as "John Dance". The name came from a tweet that used it referring to John Wayne.
  • On Just Dance+, the routine was referred to as an Alternate version before being changed to be referred to as an Extreme version. The label was later changed to "Official Choreo version".
  • On January 19, 2024, the Just Dance Twitter account posted a picture of an inaccessible foyer with the coach and some tiles from the background pasted on it, in response to a tweet by real estate investor Alan Corey reading "One of my least-liked design elements of suburban design is this inaccessible landing I see in foyers. Any creative solutions for "staging" it out there?".[10]
