Leftovers[]

Files for the scrapped gamemode "Adventure Mode" from Just Dance 2018 can be found in the files for Just Dance 2019.^[1]

Graphics and Interfaces[]

The game initially retained the stars and feedback icons from Just Dance 2018.
The game originally used the Just Dance 2018 Gold Move effect. This can be seen in the E3 previews (along with Havana’s) and the E3 demo.
In the E3 previews, the letters on the feedback icons are more separated from each other.
- Besides, the stars do not have shading effects and they have a cartoony design.
During E3, the "SUPERSTAR" and "MEGASTAR" feedback did not feature the letters’ effects.
- That was same case for the Dancer Spotlight feature in the World Dance Floor on Just Dance 2017 when the challenging player acquired "SUPERSTAR".
In the E3 version, the coach selection screen only consisted of a gradient; in the final version, instead, there is a menu banner behind it.
In the E3 trailer, the "SUPERSTAR" feedback was the normal star color instead of blue.
The following differences can be seen between the E3 version of the song selection menu and the final one:
- Songs were not sorted alphabetically.
- The border around the selected menu icon, the selected menu option, the item displaying the song title and the artist’s name and the "DANCE!" button were in shades of green rather than in shades of purple.
- The icons for the menu options had a blue diagonal gradient.
- The Dancer Card item only used a generic smiling face instead of the smiling panda icon from the final game.
- The design of the player’s Online Lever was much simpler, as it only consisted of a small circle with a blue number written in a thin font.
- The bottom part of the stars was erased, making them look sunk in the background, and "SUPERSTAR" or "MEGASTAR" was displayed under the player’s stars if they had been gained.
- "Dancer of the Week" was displayed on the top right rather than in the middle of the top part of the screen, the stars were not aligned with the player’s flag, the player’s name and the score were bigger and the title was not shown.
- Originally, the Just Dance 2018 soundtrack would be used but it was scrapped for unknown reasons. This was demonstrated in the E3 demo.
- When the game launched the E3 scoring screen was used.
  - This was changed in the update on December 20, 2018.

Game Features[]

According to the UK website for the game, Just Dance 2018’s Double Rumble was set to return, but was left out for unknown reasons.^[2]
The E3 trailer showcased an option to create your own playlists. However, in the final game, playlists can only be made by adding a song to Favorites.
- This feature was added via an update on December 20, 2018.
The icons for the Dance Lab routines Elephant, Jellyfish, and Metal Dance can be found in the files, meaning that Dance Lab was probably planned to return.
- The feedback icons for Dance Lab can be found, too, along with a file called "grad_dancelab_green".^[3]^[4]

Kids Mode[]

There are 36 unused songs in the Kids Mode files. 13 squares were revealed and 23 with placeholder squares:

In the Just Dance Squad rewards, Caldwell has different zoom effects compared to the final version.^{[citation needed]}

In the Just Dance Unlimited servers, there are beta menu assets where P3 has no facial hair.
- Additionally, the album background uses the same elements as the menu icon.

Adeyyo[]

A beta menu icon and a beta album background can be found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers.

Bang Bang Bang[]

A beta menu icon for Bang Bang Bang can be seen in the second Just Dance Now notification for Finesse (Remix), Havana, Bang Bang Bang, and Work Work.

BBoom BBoom[]

BBoom BBoom by Momoland was originally planned to be a part of the Just Dance 2019 songlist, but it was ultimately scrapped for unknown reasons.

Boogiesaurus[]

The song title was initially called "Jurassic", and The Sunlight Shakers were credited as the artists instead of A. Caveman & The Backseats.^[5]

Bum Bum Tam Tam[]

Originally, the song was not censored as much as in the final game.
- The final fully censored version could be heard for the first time in the preview for the Mad Scientist Version.
In the Just Dance Unlimited servers, there are unedited menu assets.
Bum Bum Tam Tam originally had a different menu square, where the background was less opaque.
In an early pictogram sprite, all of the pictograms have default colors.
Bum Bum Tam Tam has two Beta Gold Move pictograms. They have a thinner glow, and one of them has default colors.
Bum Bum Tam Tam’s early version had three Beta pictograms.

Ça Plane Pour Moi[]

In the Just Dance Unlimited servers, there is a Beta menu icon, where the coach is more zoomed in and a different background is used.
- The background from the Beta icon is also used as a Beta album background.

Dame Tu Cosita[]

Dame Tu Cosita was originally supposed to be in the main game, but it was scrapped for unknown reasons. It is still playable via Just Dance Unlimited and Just Dance Now.
Dame Tu Cosita’s US preview uses pictograms with default colors (the arrows are red instead of yellow and the pictograms themselves are in a darker shade of green).
- Two of them are not present in the final version, and another one is absent from the preview.
As seen in the preview, the female moans were initially present. After the Just Dance Unlimited release, however, they were censored and replaced by quacks.
Dame Tu Cosita has a different menu square in the Just Dance 2019 preview.^[6]
Dame Tu Cosita was originally supposed to have a different ending where the coach would hop out of frame instead of falling to the pond.

Finesse (Remix)[]

An unused menu icon and album coach can be found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers.
As seen in a promotional image, Yakini’s color scheme was slightly different: her top was aquamarine green instead of cobalt blue, and her jeans and her glove were darker.

In an early pictogram sprite, all of the pictograms have default colors. Seven of these are placeholders, and many others are unused.

Fire[]

In the preview, unused light effects are applied to the coaches.
- In a preview from Instagram, the light effects are light blue instead of white.
The E3 preview features an earlier version of the background.
- The exploding watermelon was originally a pineapple.
- There were multiple color scheme changes, as was the case with the loading screen, which was originally purple.
- This version was present in the Just Dance Squad rewards.^{[citation needed]}
An earlier version of Fire’s menu icon can be found in the Kids Mode files.
- There is also a Beta album background based on this early menu icon.
P1’s avatar originally had a collar, but it was removed.

Havana[]

The version of the song featuring Young Thug was originally intended to be featured in the game, according to an unused preview from the Just Dance Unlimited servers.^[7]
An unused menu icon and album background can be found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers.
The coach has an unused color scheme, which can be found in an Autodance file.

I Feel It Coming[]

In an early pictogram sprite, all of the pictograms have default colors.
- Additionally, Gold Move 2 was not supposed to be a Gold Move.
In the intro for the trailer, the coach has C1’s color scheme while performing moves assigned to C2. This means that the coach was probably not intended to change colors.

I’m Still Standing[]

An unused menu icon and album background can be found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers.

Mad Love[]

Unedited menu assets with different poses from the final ones can be found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers.

Mama Mia[]

In the menu icon, the coaches were equally zoomed in and a different background was used.
- This beta background is also seen in the beta album background.
  - Additionally, in the coach selection images, the coaches were more zoomed in.

Make Me Feel[]

An avatar was found in the files but is unused.
A slightly different beta version can be found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers.

Mayores[]

Mayores was originally planned to be a part of the Just Dance 2019 songlist, but it was scrapped for unknown reasons.

Mi Mi Mi[]

Mi Mi Mi had a different menu icon in the Just Dance 2019 trailer.
- This unused menu icon can be found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers, along with another Beta one.
  - The backgrounds of both beta icons are also used as Beta album backgrounds.
The cover originally had some differences in its instrumental. The final version was heard for the first time when the Sassy Version was announced.

Mi Mi Mi (Sassy Version)[]

Unedited menu assets can be found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers.
A slightly different choreography was seen in a behind the scenes rehearsal.

Narco[]

In the Just Dance Unlimited servers, there are two Beta menu icons, where the coach is more zoomed out, the colors are slightly brighter, and the background is positioned slightly differently. In the first one, the background is more faded out.
- There are also two unused album backgrounds based off these icons.
Narco has an unused pictogram, which appears in a promotional picture.
- This pictogram, however, is used in Just Dance Now.
The difficulty was Easy in the E3 2018 demo, but it was changed to Medium in the Gamescom version.^[8]

New Reality[]

In an early pictogram sprite, all of the pictograms have default colors.
- Besides, a Beta pictogram for Gold Move 1 can be seen in the early sprite. It poses with open legs instead of closed ones. Also, Gold Move 2 isn't a Gold Move.
An unused cutscene appears the routine was first revealed.
- It still exists in the map’s video file, but it does not appear in-game.
  - However, it does not exist in the video file in Just Dance Now.
An early version can be found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers, where the coach has a different color scheme and an unedited chroma key, and the background simply consisted of a green screen.^[9]

New Rules[]

An earlier, unedited version of New Rules’ menu icon can be found in the Kids Mode files.

New World[]

A Beta version of the routine can be found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers, where Nithe Long has a different color scheme and the background only consists of a green screen. The routine also features a three-minute long black screen after the ending.^[10]
- In the servers, there are also placeholder pictograms where Nithe Long has this color scheme.
  - Along with these, there are also nine pictograms that differ subtly from the final ones. All the others are the same as in the final version, but in default colors.
    - There is also a non-golden version of the pictogram for Gold Move 2, which implies its move was not meant to be a Gold Move at first.
An unfinished version of the routine could be found in a Just Dance Squad reward. In this version, some buildings and background elements are missing, and the coach’s outline is green.

Obsesión[]

An unused Gold Move and five other unused pictograms can be found in the game files.
- These pictograms were meant for the original version, which was set to appear in Just Dance 2018 with an extended choreography.
The Just Dance Squad rewards feature the Just Dance 2018 version of the routine.

OMG[]

Unedited menu assets can be found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers.
OMG had a different menu icon in the Just Dance 2019 trailer, where the coaches had a thinner glow and the mask from the background could be seen behind them. There was another different menu icon seen during E3, where the coaches glowed more and the background was black.
The blurry lines that ascend on the statue’s face in the background do not appear in the gameplay teasers.
The routine originally had a Medium difficulty rating, which was changed to Hard in the final game.
In an early pictogram sprite, all of the pictograms have default colors.
- This early pictograms are also seen in the preview gameplay.
An early version can be found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers, where the coaches had different color schemes and the background was simpler.^[11]

Pac Man[]

The avatars were originally based on the coaches rather than on the game icons of their respective characters.

Rhythm of the Night[]

Sweet Sensation[]

In a promotional image, P3 has a yellow outline instead of a light blue one.

There Is Nothing Better In The World[]

There Is Nothing Better In The World’s preview uses default pictogram colors.

Water Me[]

As seen in a promotional image, Panda’s color scheme was different: his mohawk was fuchsia and yellow instead of green and yellow, his outfit was fuchsia and teal instead of light blue and purple, his necklace was purple instead of green and his glove was yellow instead of green.
In another promotional image, a beta pictogram with default colors can be seen.

What Lovers Do[]

According to the game website and the E3 tracklist video, What Lovers Do was planned to be in the main tracklist for Just Dance 2019, but it was ultimately removed and instead released on Just Dance Unlimited.
- An unused avatar for P2 can be found in the files of the Xbox 360 version of Just Dance 2019, providing further proof of the song being initially meant for that game.

Where Are You Now?[]

In the Just Dance Unlimited servers, there are Beta menu assets where P2 wears an earring on her left ear.
- The menu icon and album background also have a different background and different poses.

Work Work[]

In the Just Dance Unlimited servers, an early version of the routine can be found, where the coaches have a slightly different color scheme and the background was less polished.
- Early menu assets can be found as well.

Work Work (Extreme Version)[]

In the Just Dance Unlimited servers, there is an early menu icon, where the coach is in a different pose and the background reuses elements from the routine instead of being completely different.
- The backdrop is also used as a Beta album background.
