Trivia[]
General[]
- E.T. is the fourth song by Katy Perry in the series.
- E.T. is the song with the shortest title in Just Dance 3.
- There are two versions of the song: one that features a verse from Kanye West, and one with Katy Perry only. Ubisoft promoted that they would use the original version, but they instead used the version without Kanye West. This marks the first time a rap verse is cut in-game.
- Files for E.T. can be found in the files of Just Dance: Greatest Hits.[2]
- Excluding songs from Dance on Broadway, E.T. is the second song whose codename is entirely spelled in all caps, after S.O.S.. It is followed by SOS, Alphabet Song, DDU-DU DDU-DU, OMG, TOY, X, and Montero (Call Me By Your Name).
Routine[]
- A remade version of E.T. was shown on a showreel uploaded on Vimeo between 2012 and 2013. It is notably different from the remake used from Just Dance Now onwards: the coach’s body consists of glowing rainbow bubbles, her outline is dark blue, the small linear lights are missing, and there are more reflections.
- The platform the coach is standing on was actually part of her extraction.
- However, on certain Mashups and Puppet/Party Master modes, the platform was removed.
- The coach makes a cameo in Just Dance’s background.
- As of the URL number 20150408_1230 in the old Just Dance Now servers, E.T.’s pictograms have been remade in the style of Just Dance 2016 and the arrows are yellow instead of green. Besides, the pictogram color has been changed from dark violet to purple.
- On the menu assets of the remake, the coach has darker colors than in the standard routine.
- In the remake, the reflections showing the coach’s glove remain lime green, although the glove color has been changed to yellow.
- In the Just Dance+ release announcement, the routine is not revealed through a Just Dance 2023 Edition gameplay, but rather with an altered version of the Just Dance Now preview, which uses the Just Dance 2018 pictogram bar instead of the one from Just Dance 2016.[3]
