"Take Me Out" by Franz Ferdinand is featured on Just Dance 2, Just Dance Unlimited, Just Dance Now (for players who subscribed before April 9, 2024), 舞力无限, and Just Dance+.
Appearance of the Dancer[]
Original[]
The dancer is Quinn, a woman with hot pink hair tied up with a white small hat, she wears a hot pink dress with an orange V-shaped collar with some hot pink and white stripes placed in her chest area, a lime green belt, and white, lime green, and orange stripes at the end of her dress, pink leggings with two white stripes on each leg, and hot pink lace up ballet slippers with orange socks. At the beginning and end of the routine, she is in a "deactivated" mode, where the pink areas of her body turn black and the orange parts turn lime green.
Remake[]
In the remake, Quinn is slightly more realistic and she flashes less during the flashes part. She also fades off very slowly, with a totally different effect and her outline is now green.
Background[]
Original[]
The background is a sandy orange beach with two types of umbrellas - either red and orange striped ones or red and green patterned ones. There are also kites, crabs, and bouncing beach balls, the floor is reflective.
Remake[]
In the remake, the background fades in and off slowly with a black-from-colored effect, and it is much lighter.
Gold Moves[]
There is 1 Gold Move in this routine:
Gold Move: Slowly bring your arms up while holding on to your wrists.

Trivia[]
General[]
- The following anomalies are present in the Just Dance 2 lyrics:
- The last time "I know I won’t be" is sung, it appears as one line instead of two. As a result, the next line ("Leaving here") appears early.
- From Just Dance Unlimited onwards, the two lines are divided in the same way, but the latter appears on time.
- In the former line, there is an extra space in between "know" and "I". This also happens with the last line of the song ("With you").
- The last time "I know I won’t be" is sung, it appears as one line instead of two. As a result, the next line ("Leaving here") appears early.
Routine[]
- Take Me Out is the only Solo routine from Just Dance 2 whose dancer never appeared in Mashups or Puppet/Party Master Modes.
- Take Me Out is the last pre-Just Dance 4 routine to exclusively reuse the original pictograms upon its release on Just Dance Now or Just Dance Unlimited (albeit with minor edits in this case). Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go, which was released in Just Dance Unlimited after Take Me Out, had some new Just Dance 2016-styled pictograms, and every other map from That’s Not My Name onwards received completely remade pictograms.
- Take Me Out was the first map whose 舞力无限 promotional gameplay used a screenshot of the routine instead of edited versions of the menu assets.
- Quinn’s name may be a reference to British band A Band Called Quinn, whose lineup included Alex Kapranos, the lead singer and guitarist of Franz Ferdinand.[1]
- Despite Quinn’s outfit being mostly pink, the pictograms are purple.
- In its early version, the background was much lighter (as the fading in the background went from light yellow to red instead of brown to black), the kites and the crabs were absent, and some umbrellas appeared in shades of green and fuchsia.
- In addition, Quinn’s outfit was more red than pink, and its green parts were more saturated.
- The Just Dance 2 menu square depicts Quinn with an orange outline instead of a green outline.
- In Just Dance 2, the final pictogram at the end of the routine is incorrect. For the final move, Quinn slowly brings her arms down, but the pictogram tells the player to raise their arms up and down.
- The Just Dance Now pictogram sprite showed the move incorrectly as well, but it was updated as soon as the map was released in Just Dance Unlimited by removing one of the two arrow heads.
- The background reappeared in the background of California Gurls.
