Appearance of the Dancer[]
The coach is a claymation version of Panda. He wears a yellow vest with buttons underneath the collar, a red band on his left wrist, and a pair of yellow boots with red colored anklets and soles. He also wore a yellow rain hat with a red ribbon around it, although he loses it at the start of the first chorus.
Background[]
The routine starts on a rainy day on what seems to be Panda's treehouse with a stone arc window, a white leaf tree, and a semi-circle shaped wooden door with branches surrounding it. The words "Mr. Blue Sky" fades in on the outside shot of the treehouse. Inside the treehouse, there is a wardrobe, mat and an ironing board. Some sneakers, a jacket and a wardrobe starts moving, and then the ironing board suddenly closes and turns into a board which Panda uses as a transportation source. Other treehouses can be seen in the background.
The board transports Panda to a bathroom with a badger named Brock. Brock is found sitting on a toilet reading a newspaper, while a hummingbird can be seen in the background. A rope then falls down, which Panda grabs. As board returns to Panda after getting launched by the rope. In the distance, a wooden bridge and another badger swinging on a branch can be seen. The weather then becomes sunny.
Panda grabs an umbrella that flies past him and it transports him to a tree stump with a wooden fence and bushes. A scurry of squirrels can be seen cheering, while an owl with two chicks in a tree hole are also visible. The board comes back again, transporting Panda to a kitchen with a circular doorway. Cups, napkins, and plates come flying from left to right, dancing with Panda until flying away again. Panda is then transported to a bedroom with Brock and a squirrel, where an arcade machine, a television, a tree covered with orange lights, books, a bike, toys, and balls can be seen.
Finally, Panda is transported back to the tree stump, where three owls, the squirrel from earlier, and Brock can be seen, with a hummingbird appearing later.

- Mr. Blue Sky is the first song by Electric Light Orchestra in the series.
- Released in 1977, Mr. Blue Sky is the oldest track to appear in Just Dance 2022.
- Mr. Blue Sky is the seventh cover and tenth appearance overall attributed to The Sunlight Shakers in the series.
- A redundant "the" is added at the start of the lyric "Sun is shining in the sky".
- The orchestral piece at the end of the song has been removed, resulting in the song being shortened by 82 seconds.
- This happens to align with the rerecording done by Electric Light Orchestra member Jeff Lynne in 2012. However, according to producer Steve Ouimette, this similarity is coincidental.[2]
- The ESRB website mentioned Brock sitting on a toilet reading a newspaper. However, they mistook it for a bear instead of a badger.
Routine[]
- Chandelier, Girl Like Me, Think About Things, and Mr. Blue Sky are the fifth through eighth routines in the Just Dance series to feature an animated coach, after Naughty Girl (Rabbid Peach Version), Shaky Shaky, Mi Mi Mi (P1), and Bangarang.
- Mr. Blue Sky is the third routine in the series to incorporate claymation, after Mi Mi Mi and Soy Yo.
- Mr. Blue Sky is the eleventh routine with the Panda as a dancer.
- However, unlike other routines to feature the Panda as the dancer, this is the first routine where the coach is animated. A video of Cain Kitsais performing the choreography was captured and sent to animation company Inspira Animation[3] to create the final routine.
- The background appears in Rock Your Body, along with those of China, Levitating and Think About Things.
- During the bridge, the routine is displayed on a TV in the background. The reflection also displays a TV, but the latter screen only displays a red Just Dance logo over a black background.
- The TV also uses the mockup HUD for Just Dance, which is usually seen in concept art.
- The console looks like a XBOX series X/S.
- The animation took around 7 months to complete.[4]
- According to a post in the official Latin American Instagram account, Panda has the power of flying and being able to teleport.[5]
- Both Panda and Brock make appearances in Wouldn’t It Be Nice and Shine a Little Love.
