General[]

  • A placeholder cover used for the Nintendo Switch version of Just Dance 2021 can be found in the servers.
  • The Nintendo Switch logo was originally the game logo over a teal gradient. It was changed in the final version.[1]
  • The Xbox cover was originally the same format as any Xbox One game cover. It was changed later.

Graphics and Interfaces[]

Playlists[]

  • The icon for the playlist "Extreme Moves" was planned to have a red background with dark red stripes, and the coaches featured in front of it were the Alternates for Run the World (Girls), Buscando, and Feel Special.
  • The coach for The Sweet Escape was planned to appear on the icon for the playlist "Fantasy World", but since The Sweet Escape was never added to Just Dance 2021, the coach was replaced with Adeyyo.
  • In the Beta icon for the "Girl Power!" playlist, P2 of Run the World (Girls) was featured instead of Don’t Start Now, and the corners were not round.
  • The original icon for the “Must Dance 2021” playlist was considerably more stretched out, and Bailando’s spot was meant for Run the World (Girls) (P2).
    • There is also a more compressed version of the final icon in the files,[2] and an alternate version of the original icon without the game’s logo.[3]
  • A Beta version of the icon for the "Neon Touch" playlist shows the coach of Blinding Lights with a different color scheme than the one in the final game.
  • There is an unused version of the “Simple Dances” playlist icon, in which Georgia takes the place of Kulikitaka.

Songs and Routines[]

Alexandrie Alexandra[]

  • When the preview gameplay was initially uploaded to Just Dance’s official YouTube channels, the original version of the song was played instead of the cover and the starbar from Just Dance 2020 was used.
    • On October 9, 2020, a new version of the preview replacing all these Beta elements with their final counterparts was uploaded to most of the channels, with the US channel getting it on October 13, 2020.
  • The UK thumbnail and some promotional images show P2’s glasses with a purple effect.

All the Good Girls Go to Hell[]

  • The avatar was different during production, as its hair was red-purple and salmon pink instead of black and green, and its outline was yellow instead of green.

Blinding Lights[]

  • The coach originally had a different color scheme, as seen in a Beta version of the icon for the playlist "Neon Touch".

Blinding Lights (Extreme Version)[]

  • The avatar was different during production, as its hair was black instead of brownish and its visor was violet instead of pink.

Boy, You Can Keep It[]

  • As seen in the avatar, Fuchsia Blue’s colors were supposed to be darker.
  • In some concept art, Fuchsia Blue has a slightly different design: her hair is laying on the right side of her head, her feather boa is pink instead of black, her necklace is golden instead of fuchsia and violet, her dress is red and blue instead of violet and fuchsia, her collar and pantyhose are orange instead of light blue, her bow is more horizontal, her glove is green instead of magenta, and her boots are purple instead of pink.

Buscando[]

  • In the Nintendo Direct trailer, the outline for the Classic coach faded out around her boots; in the final version, however, the outline is solid around her entire body.
  • The Nintendo Direct trailer shows the dancer doing moves from the verses in front of the background used in the hook.
  • In the gameplay preview, the sign in the first background during the verses said "HAVE A BLESS", while in the final version, it said "HAVE A BLAST."

Don’t Start Now[]

  • In the preview, the folds of Dahlia’s dress are more visible than in the final routine.
  • As seen in the avatar, Dahlia’s was supposed to be light brown rather than pastel pink.
    • Her glasses and the roots of her hair were also supposed to be black rather than darker purple.

Flash[]

  • In the servers of Just Dance Unlimited, there is an early version of the album coach that has two thick outlines (a black one and a white one) along with unedited assets.
  • An early version of the routine can also be found, where the coach has a different color scheme and the background is completely black.

Georgia[]

  • In the preview, "drug" and "overdose" are not censored.

Habibi Yaeni[]

  • Yameen Yasar’s routines were actually created for Orgonite’s Habibi Yaeni, as proven by their code names being "HabibiYaeni" and "HabibiYaeniALT"[4][5] and both routines matching the removed song perfectly.

Heat Seeker[]

  • The avatar was different during production, as its cap was light brown instead of yellow, its hair was black instead of violet, and its outline was green instead of yellow.

Ice Cream[]

  • The avatars were different during production.
    • In P1’s, the hair was red and black instead of aquamarine green and indigo, its hair tie was brown instead of indigo, its sunglasses were black with an orange frame instead of indigo with a yellow frame, and its earrings were orange instead of yellow,
    • In P2’s, the hair was cobalt blue instead of purple, the cap was red instead of teal green, the jewelry was darker, and the outline was fuchsia instead of black.
    • In P3’s, the hair was black with purple highlights instead of completely magenta, its earrings were darker, and its outline was purple instead of black.
    • In P4’s, the hat and the sunglasses were black instead of indigo, the jewelry was more greenish, the hair was salmon pink instead of light blue, and its outline was purple instead of indigo.

Juice[]

  • The song originally used the normal version of the song with censorship made by Ubisoft. However, the final game uses the official clean version with some additional changes.
  • As seen in a behind-the-scenes photo, P3’s hair was supposed to have one long braid instead of two short braids.
  • The avatars were originally different during production.
    • P1’s avatar had a slightly darker cap and black hair instead of dark violet hair.
    • P2’s had pink highlights instead of lilac highlights, a red cap instead of a pink one, and a lighter outline and earrings.
    • P3’s had fuchsia highlights instead of lilac highlights, a salmon pink headband instead of a mauve one, and a lighter outline and earrings.

Kick It (Extreme Version)[]

  • The avatar was different during production: its hoodie was black with yellow stripes instead of black-indigo, its cap was red instead of black-indigo, and the central part of its face mask was red instead of black.

Kulikitaka[]

  • The avatar was different during production, as its skin and outline were reddish instead of pink, the inside of its ears was yellowish instead of green, its hair was purplish instead of red, its bow and nose were pink instead of yellow, and the blue stripes next to its eyes were lighter.

Magenta Riddim[]

  • The avatar was different during production: its cap and the frame of its sunglasses was sand yellow instead of bright yellow, and its hair and sunglasses were dark brown instead of indigo-violet.

Paca Dance[]

  • A verse that was cut from the audio for unknown reasons (and replaced with the pre-chorus from the first verse) can be found on the official audio that Ubisoft released.
  • P2’s avatar was different during production: its highlights were darker, its headband was sunflower yellow instead of red, and the frame of its sunglasses were magenta instead of red.

Rain On Me[]

  • Four avatars based on the concept art for the routine can be found under the code name for the song.
    • A golden version of the third avatar can also be found.

Rare[]

  • A beta version of the avatar, whose colors are based on High Nymph’s unedited appearance, can be found in the files of Just Dance 2021.
  • A unedited menu icon can be found in the game files.

Rock N Roll Princess[]

  • In the demo of Just Dance 2021, the coach can be seen with a different color scheme.
    • A Beta avatar based on this color scheme can be found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers.

Run the World (Girls)[]

  • Run the World (Girls) by Beyoncé was planned to be featured in the game with its Classic and Extreme routines, but they were scrapped for unknown reasons. They both made their official appearances on Just Dance 2022.
    • Despite this, P1 and P2 of the Classic routine were used in various promotional material for the game.
      • Furthermore, P2 of the Classic routine and the dancer from the Extreme routine were used in different playlist covers for the game and Just Dance Unlimited, including discarded ones.

Samba de Janeiro[]

  • In the preview, the original version is heard instead of the cover by Ultraclub 90, suggesting that this song was originally not going to be a cover.

Say So[]

  • A golden avatar for an unknown coach can be found under the code name of the song.
    • The non-golden version of the avatar was found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers, alongside another unknown coach’s avatar that shares the code name.
  • The song initially had a different choreography by Mo Meaux The Monarch, which was scrapped a day before its shooting[citation needed] for unknown reasons.
    • In this Beta routine, the coaches were supposed to wear the same costumes as the ones seen in the final version.[citation needed]

Señorita[]

  • Unedited coach selection image and an unused menu icon and album coach can be found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers.

Temperature[]

  • The avatars were originally different during production.
    • In P1’s avatar, the hair was black instead of indigo, the braid was placed differently, the cap and earrings were red instead of yellow, the sunglasses were black and violet instead of indigo, and the outline was purple instead of yellow. The cap, earrings, and sunglasses also had different designs.
    • P2’s avatar was completely different, as it wore a differently shaped beanie and visors, with the latter being on its eyes rather than on its forehead.
    • P3’s avatar had differently shaped hair, fur, and visors. Its colors were also different, with the hair being black instead of indigo, its fur being red instead of pink, and its visors being purple and lilac instead of black. Its colors were also painted with a different brush, which had a less solid effect.
    • P4’s avatar had a yellow and black cap instead of a yellow and indigo one, differently shaped visors that were blue-green instead of purple-blue, and a different shaped beard that was black instead of indigo. Akin to P3’s Beta avatar, the brush also had a non-solid effect.

The Other Side[]

  • The avatar was different during production, as its beanie and beard were shaped differently. Besides, the former was light orange instead of light blue, and the outline was fuchsia instead of sky blue.
    • The beanie and beard were also painted with a brush instead of being drawn solidly.

The Sweet Escape[]

  • The Sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani featuring Akon was planned to appear in the game, but it was removed for unknown reasons.
    • The classic and golden avatars were uploaded to the Just Dance Unlimited servers the same day as all the Just Dance 2021 assets, which could indicate that routine was planned to be featured in the main tracklist of Just Dance 2021.
    • The coach can be seen on an unused version of the icon for the “Fantasy World” playlist.

The Weekend[]

  • In the preview, the pictogram bar is orchid pink instead of indigo.

Till The World Ends[]

  • The avatar was different during production, as its hair was reddish and black instead of pink and indigo and its sunglasses were black instead of indigo.

UNO[]

  • In both preview thumbnails, solid outlines surround P1, P3 and P4’s heads. In the gameplay and final version, however, the outline only covers the top of their heads.

Without Me (Extreme Version)[]

  • As seen in the codename of the song, "WithoutMeALTRETAKE", the routine originally had a different choreography, which was changed for unknown reasons.
    • Amanita's outfit also differed from the final version, as the coach wore a wider hat and a tight yellow shirt with a wide neck under her dress.
    • A snapshot of this early version can be seen in the instruction manual of Just Dance 2021.
      • The avatar, however, keeps the unused outfit.

Yo Le Llego[]

  • The avatars were different during production.
    • In P1’s, the hat and folds were brown instead of green and blue-violet respectively, and the sunglasses were brown instead of violet. Besides, the hat and folds were drawn with a brush, and the former had a different shape and motif.
    • In P2’s, the hat was light yellow-greenish instead of purple with a green visor and had no decorations; besides, the hair was dark brown instead of dark violet and drawn with a brush, the sunglasses were dark brown instead of purple, and the frame consisted of an orange gold bar instead of a dark violet chain.
