"Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry is featured on the Best Buy (NTSC)/Special (PAL) edition of Just Dance 3. It later appeared on Just Dance Unlimited, and 舞力无限. It was planned to be on Just Dance: Greatest Hits, but was scrapped for unknown reasons.[1] It was also featured on Just Dance Now prior to its removal.
Appearance of the Dancer[]
The coach is a teenage girl with red hair. She has two different outfits:
C1[]
C1 has long hair tied in a ponytail and dark teal glasses. She wears a dark teal shirt with a neon green silhouette of a bunny on it, a neon green and apple red checkered skirt, and dark teal flats over orange socks.
C2[]
C2 is C1 in her prom look. Her hair is now tied with a dark teal hair clip, and she also wears neon green earrings. Her outfit consists of a sleeveless teal and neon green dress and a pair of red high heels. She also wears two elbow-length gloves, with the left one being green and the right one being orange.
Remake[]
In the remake, her face is less visible and her outfits have been modified to appear more realistic. Also, her color pallet has been modified. Her shirt and glasses frames are now dark greenish-blue, her hair and red squares on her skirt are now dark red, and the rabbit design on her shirt and green squares on her skirt are now more bright and saturated.
Background[]
Original (Wii)[]
The routine starts in a bedroom. The walls are in a shade of pink with a dark teal stripe with white bunnies of it. The walls have four posters, with some of them showing the background and coach for Take On Me and California Gurls. Other items in the room include a mirror and five white spherical lights in it. The floor is dark and reflective.
As soon as the chorus starts, the routine switches to a prom at a school gym. The room has been decorated with a red curtain with small stars in it, as well as a sipario and white lights on the floor. It also has various balloons on each side of the coach, some of them being scattered on the floor. The floor also has a pink basketball court lines. In some parts, an arc full of pink and purple stars with the word "Prom Night Dance" appears.
Original (PS3)[]
In the PS3 version, yellow polka-dot spotlights spin behind the coach during the chorus.
Remake[]
For the first background, new things were added, such as a bed with a teddy bear holding a heart on top of it, and a stool in front of the mirror. The floor has beem changed to a carpeted, non-reflective floor.
In the prom scene, the background is dimmer. The balloons are now glowing, and some animal-shaped balloons have been added. Disco light effects have been added to the background as well. The stars are closer to the middle of the screen, they glow more and their color is more cyan than turquoise; besides, the arc of stars with "Prom Night Dance", as well as the basketball court lines, has been removed.
Gold Moves[]
There are 3 Gold Moves in this routine:
Gold Moves 1 and 2: Hit the sky four times with your right hand, the last time with more force.
Gold Move 3: Pull your raised fists downward while lifting up your right leg.

Trivia[]
General[]
- Teenage Dream is the fifth song by Katy Perry in the series.
- "I was alright/But things were kinda heavy" is misinterpreted as "I was a wreck/But things were kinda heavy".
- The gameplay preview uploaded to Just Dance’s British YouTube channel misspells the song title as "Tennage Dream".[2][3]
Routine[]
- In the first background, California Gurls, What You Waiting For?, Only Girl (In The World), and Take On Me appear in the wall as posters.
- California Gurls and What You Waiting For? feature only their respective routines’ backgrounds as posters.
- The prom background had a different appearance during production: it was darker and in a shade of purple. It also had more balloons and smaller lights.[4]
- In the PS3 version, there were lights spinning on the top of the screen.
- In Just Dance 3, the following anomalies can be seen in the menu icon:
- The bunny on the coach’s shirt appears in a reversed position.
- An art poster of a woman can be seen in the background, despite it not being seen in the actual routine.
- Both issues have been fixed in the menu icon for the remake, where the unseen poster is replaced by another poster representing Take On Me.
- The Just Dance 3 menu icon has a darkened area around a circle, and the coach’s arms are erased in the dark part.
- This is not visible in-game because the square is cropped into a circle.
- Files for Teenage Dream can be found in the files of Just Dance: Greatest Hits.[1]
- In the Just Dance Unlimited servers, there is a Beta preview that uses the PS3 version of the original map.[5]
- A sticker of the song’s balloons can be unlocked on Just Dance 2020 by dancing to I Don’t Care three times.
- In the PS3 version, the background and coach are more vibrant compared to the Wii version, despite using the same assets.
