The routine contains a trio of a leading male fox and two women as backup dancers.
P2[]
The lead dancer wears a costume of an orange fox with a white stomach and lower jaw. When the chorus hits, he also has a gray-silvery jacket and a gold necklace on. He keeps the jacket after the second chorus. He has a bold yellow outline.
P1/P3[]
The backup dancers wear pink and orange dresses and fox masks both resembling Little Red Riding Hood. When the chorus hits, they keep the fox masks on but the rest of their outfit changes. They then have gray shiny shirts with sharp-triangular fox heads on them as a design. They also have very short skirt resembling colored dark gray in a shiny fabric too. Their pants are plain, darkish colored paired with dark green high shoes and a neon lime green colored glove.

Background[]
The routine takes place on a field; when "__ goes __" is sung, the mentioned animal appears with a speech bubble saying its noise (e.g.: when "Dog goes woof" is sung, a dog appears saying "Woof"). At the chorus, and from the second chorus onwards, it changes into a replica of the background of the music video with more dancers behind them. At points, neon fox signs light up on the tree branches.
The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?) has a Mashup with the theme Shamans, which can be unlocked for 20 Mojocoins. It features coaches in native or tribal costumes.
The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?) was the second song to have an alternate routine announced prior to the game’s release, after I Love It.
The song was originally called The Fox in Just Dance 2015. In the final version of the game, the title was changed to the official one (The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?)).
In Just Dance Now, there is a glitch with the avatar where playing the routine will unlock the avatar for Papaoutai instead.[1]
Classic[]
Dark Horse and The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?) are the first two Trio routines where P2 is recorded separately from P1 and P3.
As a consequence, P2 appears as a Solo coach in Holding Out for a Hero (Party Master Mode).
However, as opposed to Dark Horse (P2)’s appearance in Birthday (Mashup), The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?)’s arrow color has been left unchanged.
The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?) is the first Trio routine where P2 has a different color outline than P1 and P3.
The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?) is the second Trio routine where P2 has more Gold Moves than P1 and P3, after #thatPOWER (On-Stage).
However on Just Dance Unlimited, the number of gold moves is equal through all players.
The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?) was added to Just Dance Unlimited on December 23, one day before its scheduled appearance on December 24, 2020 as part of the Once Upon A Dance event.
A placeholder menu banner can be found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers.[3]
On Just Dance Unlimited, P2’s coach selection pose has changed, and a duplicate of P3’s is used for P1’s.
In the Just Dance Now preview, the original pictograms are used instead of the edited ones from Just Dance Unlimited, and the pictogram bar and Gold Move effect are from Just Dance 2018 and Just Dance 2019.
In the Just Dance Now song description file, the "OriginalJDVersion" string reads "2016", implying that changes to the map had already been planned upon the launch of Just Dance Unlimited.[4]
The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?) is the first non-legacy track in Just Dance+ to have their coach selection images have their fade effect at the bottom removed via an update.
Mashup[]
Jin Go Lo Ba has a newly-created pictogram at the beginning.
This new pictogram is also featured in the Just Dance Now pictogram sprite of Jin Go Lo Ba.
Hey Boy Hey Girl’s pictograms fade one beat later than they should, whereas Dagomba’s pictograms fade too early.
There are two different colors for the Mashup square, which can be found in the files.[citation needed]
Community Remix[]
The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?) (Community Remix) is the first Community Remix in Just Dance 2015 made for a Trio routine.
However, players can only play as P2, even though some of the featured dancers also perform P1 and P3s’ moves.
In addition, no pictograms are displayed.
These issues also characterize the othertwo Community Remixes designed for a Trio routine in the same game.
In the files of Just Dance 2015, there is a mockup screen displaying an early version of the Community Remix. In this mockup, the HUD and the dancer card are from Just Dance 2014, the lyrics are dark red instead of orange, and the middle of the screen is based off Just Dance 2014 menu squares, with "DanceMix#2" written on the top left.
