Trivia[]
General[]
- Gibberish is the first song in the series to be performed by a former YouTube personality.
- The original song features Hoodie Allen, but the in-game version leaves his part as an instrumental. This makes Gibberish and Stuck On A Feeling the first songs in the Just Dance series whose featured artists have been removed in-game.
- However, he can still be heard saying "shhh" during the part where his vocals has been cut out.
- "Crack" is censored.
- The song has been shortened by 18 seconds in-game.
- The inclusion of Gibberish in Just Dance 2016 was revealed at E3 2015, but the preview gameplay for the routine was revealed during the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards. Gibberish was the only Just Dance 2016 song in the E3 reveal set whose preview gameplay was not revealed at E3.
- It marked the second time in the series that a song was announced in the first set of songs of its respective game but its preview gameplay was revealed at a later date, after Where Have You Been (whose preview gameplay was not revealed at Gamescom 2013).
- A music video for the in-game version of the song was uploaded to the international Just Dance YouTube channel on October 22, 2015[4].
- The video features a backup dancer wearing an outfit similar to P1’s and a snippet of the preview gameplay for the routine with people dancing along to it (including MAX himself at one point).
Routine[]
- In the menu square and album coach, the coaches’ positions are switched.
- In the preview gameplay, a pictogram in the second verse retains its colors despite the coaches having switched positions in that part of the song.
- This has been fixed in the final game.
- In the Just Dance Now files, there is a placeholder pictogram that simply consists of a transparent canvas with the word "PLACEHOLDER" written in white in the Just Dance Bold font.
