Background[]
The routine is set in a stage with a black floor. There are multiple lavender and indigo shapes on the walls of the stage. There are cutouts of various locations behind the dancers which get replaced multiple times throughout the routine.
At the beginning of the routine, the cutout is a stereotypical teenage girl's bedroom, mostly coloured in pink. It consists of a bedroom with a large double bed, multiple posters on the walls, a door, and a drawer with a TV placed on top of it.
Near the beginning of the first chorus, the cutout is separated apart and another cutout moves in from behind. The cutout is a town street at sunset. It consists of two buildings - orange and indigo - in the foreground with several more in the back, a red car parked near the two buildings, and a single lamppost.
Near the beginning of the second chorus, the street cutout is separated apart while the lamppost cutout is lowered into the ground. Another cutout then appears, this time showing a city street at dusk. The cutout consists of several large buildings, including two theatres, and several neon signs and billboards.
At the start of the third verse, the cutout is separated apart again to make way for the final cutout. The cutout consists of the outside of a building called Dance 'O Rama, with several signs making up the sentence "You Can't Stop the Beat" on each side. There is also a sign reading "Applause" hanging from the ceiling, stacked TVs and silhouettes of people on each side, and two cameras in front of the dancers.
