"Hit ’Em Up Style (Oops!)" by Blu Cantrell is featured on Just Dance 4, Just Dance Now, Just Dance Unlimited, Just Dance+, and 舞力无限.

Appearance of the Dancer[]

The dancer is a woman with black cornrow hair, black hoop earrings, black shoes, and a tank top textured in a gradient of dark blue and teal. She also wears a blue jacket and blue jeans. In the verses, her jacket changes from yellow to purple. The jacket and jeans change to green in the chorus and change to blue at the bridge of the song. She has a sky blue outline that changes to green and also wears a oil dark black glove.

Background[]

The background begins as a pink screen, and switches between pink, purple, gold, and green throughout the routine. Certain words from the song appear in bold behind the coach when they are sung. When "Oops!" is sung, the screen turns from purple to gold and the word flashes brightly. During the bridge, the screen is divided into three triangular sections, purple on the sides and pink the center. In the Wii version, two holograms of the coach appear behind her and remain until the bridge ends. On other consoles, the holograms flash on screen very briefly and disappear. From Just Dance Now and onward, the holograms do not appear at all.

General[]

  • The game uses a version of the song from the international edition of Blu Cantrell’s Bittersweet album, albeit slightly shortened.[4]

Classic[]

  • In Run The Show’s Mashup, the dancer is colored differently with dark red hair, red shoes, a teal shirt, a dark purple jacket, and denim colored jeans.
  • At the bridge of the song, when the dancer has cloned silhouettes of herself, they are fully visible until the Gold Move on the Wii version of Just Dance 4. On the other consoles, however, they are only briefly seen twice for a couple of seconds. They do not appear at all on Just Dance Now or Just Dance Unlimited.
  • Hit ’Em Up Style (Oops!) is the first routine whose background shows all (or most of) the lyrics of the song.
  • The background of the dance is similar to another music video for another Blu Cantrell song titled "Breathe"; the only difference is that with the in-game background, the background changes colors while the background in Breathe remains blue.
  • The pictograms are always purple, even when the coach changes color throughout the routine.
    • In addition, the arrows are pink in spite of the coach’s glove being black.
  • In a promotional photo for Just Dance Now, it can be seen that the song originally had a different square, with the background being blue instead of yellow.
  • In Just Dance Unlimited, some cheering sounds are added at the start to the routine.
    • Besides, the coach selection image has been moved to the middle of the screen and is less blurry.
  • In the Wheel Of Gifts section of the Xbox 360 manual, Hit ’Em Up Style (Oops!) is seen with a different menu icon.
  • Both Hit ’Em Up Style (Oops!) and Oops!... I Did It Again have the same "Get GOOD when "Oops!" is sung" Dance Quest.

Mashup[]

  • The pictograms for Superstition have aqua arrows instead of orange ones.
  • When Umbrella appears, it uses a completely different pictogram to replace the Gold Move; it resembles the pictogram for Maneater’s first Gold Move.
