"I Gotta Feeling" was initially planned to have a different routine on Just Dance 2. However, it was scrapped and reworked later in development to be featured on Just Dance 2016.
Appearance of the Dancer[]
The coach is a woman. She is seen with different color schemes depending on the footage found for the routine, but the one on the preview in the Wii Shop servers consists of her with dark aqua hair, a white cap with purple front, a purple jacket with a checkerboard pattern t-shirt, dark aqua calf-length pants with an orange belt, white shoes and dark purple socks. She has an orange glove.
Other color palletes for the dancer include the one from the intended game's cover, wherein red and purple are its predominant colors, and another color pallete found on different promotional material consists of turquoise, dark fuchsia and dark violet tones.
Trivia[]
- For this routine, the radio edit is used, resulting in the introduction of the song being shortened.
- This also resulted in the song ending at the same time as the The Black Eyed Peas Experience version of this song.
- It is unknown if any words were going to be censored.
- In a similar way to Let’s Get It Started, footage of the routine has an overlapping silhouette following the coach’s moves, suggesting that the routine was scrapped in an early part of development.
- The same effect can also be seen in a promotional video, even with the coach being in a different color scheme.[2]
- A preview of the routine could be found in the servers of the Wii Shop for Just Dance 2, implying that it was considered for downloadable content but ultimately left unreleased.
- In said preview, the song is slightly delayed with the routine.
- There were two takes of the routine; as proven by how the dancer performs the intro moves differently in comparison to both the Wii Shop preview and the found footage.
