"I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)" by Whitney Houston is featured on Just Dance 2024 Edition. It is simply referred to as "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" in-game.
The song also has an alternate routine titled "Extravaganza Version".
Appearance of the Dancer[]
The coach is April, a woman whose appearance is based on Whitney Houston and dressed in vibrant 1980s inspired clothing. She has big curly and ginger hair, accessorized with an oversized yellow hair bow with a pink tiger print on the left side of her head. She also wears two threader earrings in her left ear, each decorated with beads and emeralds. She also has black eyeliner and half-pink, half-blue eyeshadow. Her outline changes between golden orange and glowing rainbow.
C1[]
April's C1 outfit consists in a loose off-shoulder ribbed pink tee with light blue tiger stripes and black bra peeking out from her top, a pair of blue button-fly capri jeans, a black leather belt with a golden buckle, black suspenders with small golden buckles, pink sneakers with yellow laces, blue stripes on the back, and white soles. She also wears accessories with two chain necklaces and golden bangles on her left wrist. Her glove is a yellow handsock.
C2[]
When the third chorus starts, April's outfit transforms into its C2 form. She wears a sparkly dress with a sleeveless design and a layered frilly skirt with pink trims. The dress also has a wide blue belt around her waist, held by a yellow rectangular buckle. She also wears black arm warmers with matching sparkling effect from her dress, as well as navy blue shiny high heels. She also wears accessories with three bead necklaces in white, light blue, and pink. Her glove changes to a regular one.
Background[]
The routine takes place in a 80’s inspired music store called Dance & Record Store. It has TVs attached to the ceiling where other routines and coaches lip-syncing are shown, spotlights, vinyls on the walls, and albums on boxes and shelves which have stickers pasted on them, some being references to other routines. During the chorus, bridge, and the outro, the store is in a night setting. In these parts, the spotlights are turned on, filling up the place in rainbow lights. The albums also glow and get covered in glitter.
It begins with April checking out the albums in display, picks one and starts dancing. Summer and the coach from You Can Dance are seen around the store. In the first chorus, they join her, dancing next to her. Then, a different angle of the store is shown, and now Stop Movin’ (P2) and Just An Illusion (P2) appear. The same process happens as the two previous coaches. On the bridge, she is left alone and a bright spotlight is shined on her. On the last chorus, another portion of the store is shown, where there are vinyls hanging from the ceiling. All five coaches are seen dancing together. A large sparkly disco ball comes down and stays behind the coaches until the routine ends. When the coaches leave, the disco ball turns around, revealing its Discoball, and winks.
Gold Moves[]
There are 3 Gold Moves in this routine:
Gold Move 1: Bend down and snap with your right hand.
Gold Move 2: Point to the right with your left hand on your hip.
Gold Move 3: Crouch slightly while moving your arms down in a circle.
