General

  • An unfinished cover for Nintendo Switch can be found in a game store website[1]. Compared to the final cover, it has been zoomed in.
    • Also, on the bottom right corner of the cover, "*NOT FINAL ARTWORK" can be read, indicating that the cover was still in progress.
      • Additionally, there is a early cover found in the Ubisoft Forward stream, where the logo has a purple outline, the coaches are unedited and in slightly different poses.

Graphics and Interfaces

  • As seen in promotional images for Just Dance 2022, the colors for the HUD were meant to be the same as Just Dance 2020.

Songs and Routines

Black Mamba

  • The color of the pictogram bar and lyrics was planned to be red, as seen in the routine’s preview on YouTube, but it was changed to aquamarine green in the final game.

Black Mamba (Alternate Version)

  • In the Just Dance 2022 Full Song List video and the preview, the pictograms appear in default colors.

Break My Heart

  • Break My Heart by Dua Lipa was planned to be featured in the game, but it was scrapped for unknown reasons.
    • Despite this, the coach was used in promotional material for the game.

Call on Me

  • A song with the codename "CallOnMe" can be found in the game files.[2]

Chandelier

  • In concept art, the coach can be seen with the traditional white skin, along with other outfits.

Don’t Go Yet

  • In the Just Dance 2022 Full Song List video and in "Camila Cabello Surprises Fans", the pictograms appear in default colors, and some of them are different from the final ones.[3]
    • There is also a placeholder pictogram.

Drivers License

  • A song with the codename "DriversLicense" can be found in the game files.[2]

Follow the White Rabbit

  • A song with the codename "FollowTheWhiteRabbit" was planned to appear in the game, but it was removed for unknown reasons. The classic and golden avatars for the song were uploaded to the Just Dance Unlimited servers the same day as all the Just Dance 2022 avatars.

Freed From Desire

  • In the previews, the backgrounds newspapers originally had a different headline. It was changed to the lyrics of the song in the final version.
    • Additionally, the coach's face was made slightly more visible in the final game.

Good 4 U

  • In the Just Dance Unlimited servers, there is an early version of the map that uses 20 Beta pictograms and a differently-designed pictogram for Gold Move 1.
    • Besides, Gold Move 2 consisted of the final move of the choreography (as opposed to the final routine, where Gold Move 2 takes place after the line "Like a damn sociopath").

Hello

  • A song with the codename Hello can be found in the game files.[4]

Human

  • In concept art, an idea of a 'transformation' for the coach is displayed.

I’m Outta Love

  • Four beta pictograms can be found in the game files.[5]

Jopping

  • Beta color schemes for P1 and P3 can be seen in the menu.
    • Their respective avatars also use these color schemes.
      • Additionally, a beta color scheme can be seen in P2’s avatar.

  • In the Just Dance 2022 Official Song List - Part 1 video and in the preview, the pictograms appear in default colors.
  • On the menu and the World Dance Floor, P2 appears with a different color scheme.

Malibu

  • A song with the codename "Malibu" was planned to appear in the game, but it was removed for unknown reasons. The avatars for the song were uploaded to the Just Dance Unlimited servers the same day as all the Just Dance 2022 avatars.
    • Oddly, Malibu is the only Just Dance 2022 song to lack its golden avatar, suggesting that the song was scrapped early in development.

Rock Your Body

  • In the menu and the World Dance Floor, an unedited version of the coach makes an appearance. The inside of his cape is light blue instead of having a starry sky, and his glove has less details.
  • In concept art, an early idea of the coach can be seen, with a smaller cloak

Sua Cara

  • In the previews, the pictograms appear in default colors.

Think About Things

  • A beta pictogram can be found in the game files.[6]

Waterval

  • Two versions of the routine were made, one with P2 as a male and the other with P2 as a female. This was due to K3 member Klaasje leaving the group and the reality show "K2 Zoekt K3" (K2 Searches K3), where both males and females competed to become the new member of K3.
    • When the new member was revealed to be Julia Boschman, the female version of Waterval’s routine ended up being used.
      • The video file for the male routine can still be found in Just Dance Unlimited’s servers.

You Can Dance

  • In the previews, the coach’s face is not visible at all, and the pictograms appear in default colors.
    • Besides, four pictograms have different props, and one pictogram is missing entirely.
