Just Dance 2024 Edition is the fifteenth installment in the main Just Dance series, serving as the second annual song pack for the Just Dance service.[1]
The game was revealed on June 12, 2023, as part of Ubisoft Forward, and released on October 24, 2023.

- One platform with regular updates: Now a fully entertainment platform, the game is regularly updated with new music and rewards throughout the year. Regardless of if you own the 2023 or 2024 edition, all players are connected on the same platform and can play together online. If you own both editions, all content is together in the same place! This includes the return of Challenge Mode and Workout mode, alongside the return of camera tracking, which is available for 15 songs (ten from Just Dance 2024 Edition and five from Just Dance 2023 Edition) since this winter. It has also been confirmed that tracking will be counted via smartphone devices.
- Year-round content to enjoy: Take part in themed seasonal events with free songs and playlists for a limited time. Every season will bring new and exciting songs, a dedicated progression track, and new rewards. Win avatars, backgrounds, name badges and aliases to personalize your Dancer Card and show off your personality in the game.

This is a music-rhythm game in which players perform choreographed routines by following the movements of on-screen characters. Players score points by accurately dancing in time to the music and scrolling indicators. A handful of song lyrics contain the word “hell,” as well as references to violence (e.g., “Maybe I should kill myself/Blame it on my A.D.D. baby”) and suggestive material (e.g., “I’m a blessing of a body to love on/If you want it bad tonight”).

Outline & Issues: Rhythm dancing game in which players learn and perform dancing steps by following the dancing coaches on screen. These are professional dancers, disguised with costumes according to the song and music played, who perform in front of an animated background. This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items, in the form of a subscription service, which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items. One song features the line "Maybe I should kill myself". Any offensive language and expletives in original songs have been edited out, although there is some use of 'damn'.

- Just Dance 2024 Edition is tied with Just Dance 2023 Edition for the lowest amount of Quartets since their introduction in Just Dance 3, with only four available globally.
- Just Dance 2024 Edition is the first installment since Just Dance 2016 to not have a routine that is French-exclusive.
- Just Dance 2024 Edition is the first installment to feature at least one Extreme-difficulty routine in every choreo style.
- Out of any installment from the main series, Just Dance 2024 Edition has the lowest number of maps that returned to 舞力无限, with only three (A Night in the Château de Versailles, After Party, and Swan Lake)
- This was the case because regular updates to the service were discontinued on December 14, 2023.
- Although preview gameplays for upcoming maps have usually lasted for around one minute and 15 seconds since before Just Dance 2016 (including the 15-second outro), previews for Just Dance 2024 Edition only last 35 seconds, with the last five seconds being the outro.
- The only exceptions to this are the preview for Otonablue posted by Ubisoft Japan and the previews for the Disney songs.
- When sorting by opus in the song selection menu, Just Dance 2024 Edition was initially listed as "Just Dance #2024".
- This was fixed during the Just Dance 2024 Edition Celebration event.
- The characters of "Enter the Danceverses" appear on the cover art and return in Just Dance 2024 Edition through a new story playlist titled "Dance with the Swan", with their story being confirmed to have a darker tone.[4]
- Seven, Swan Lake and Tainted Love did not get preview trailers for unknown reasons, though the latter two were hinted through a teaser.
- Unlike every alternate routine in Just Dance 2023 Edition, the song title and the label of the alternate routines are not intentionally separated on two different lines on the thumbnail of the preview gameplay.
- Five alternate routines were missing from the original release. They were added over the course of several weeks.[5]
- From October 28 to November 3, 2023, the French Just Dance Instagram account hosted a raffle where fans had to follow the account and tag a friend in the comment section. Among the prizes were a code for Just Dance 2024 Edition, a pouch, two customized Joy-Cons (one with Sara and one with Jack Rose), a beach towel, a set of six stickers, and a keychain of Phone Girl’s emote.[6]
- From November 3 to November 5, 2023, Jerky Jessy hosted a raffle on his own Instagram account where he would give a signed copy of Just Dance 2024 Edition, to celebrate his ninth year as a choreographer and performer for the Just Dance series. To participate, users had to follow his account, share his post about the raffle and tag him, and comment with their favorite Just Dance map among those where he worked as a choreographer or coach.[7]
- From December 22, 2023 to January 10, 2024, the French Just Dance Twitter account hosted a Christmas contest where users had to like and retweet the tweet about the contest and follow the account. The prizes included a Just Dance 2024 Edition-themed pullover with Jack Rose, Sara, Brezziana, and Wanderlust, and two customized Joy-Cons (one with Sara and one with Jack Rose).[8]
- One of the unlockable scoring effects is nostalgy, which uses an updated scoring effect from Just Dance 3.
