Just Dance 2025 Edition is the sixteenth installment in the main Just Dance series, serving as the third annual song pack for the Just Dance service.[5]
The game was mentioned in the June update presentation on June 17, 2024,[5] and officially revealed the following day during the Nintendo Direct. The game was released on October 15, 2024.
Gameplay and Features
- 40 new and fun songs for everyone: There's something for every taste in Just Dance 2025 Edition. Dance to chart-topping hits, pop party anthems, all-time classics, viral internet phenomenona, and more, including: "yes, and?" by Ariana Grande, "Poker Face" by Lady Gaga, "Basket Case" by Green Day, "Calabria 2007" by Enur Ft. Natasja.
- Easy or Intense, choose your challenge: Whether you play with your friends or your family, there's choreography for everyone, from easy to hard. Some songs even offer different difficulty levels depending on the dancer you choose.
- There's always a reason to dance, all-year long: Take part in themed seasonal events year-round with new and exciting songs, a dedicated progression track, and more new rewards.
- Workout mode for fitness enthusiasts: Start your own fitness routine and exercise while having fun in Workout mode. Keep yourself motivated by tracking calories burnt and time spent dancing.
- One platform with all content: Regardless of if you or your friends own Just Dance 2023 Edition, Just Dance 2024 Edition, or Just Dance 2025 Edition, all players are connected on the same platform. If you own most editions, all content are together in the same place!

This is a music-rhythm game in which players perform choreographed routines by following the movements of on-screen characters. Players score points by accurately dancing in time to the music and scrolling indicators. A handful of song lyrics contain the word “hell,” as well as references to suggestive material (e.g., “Yeah we hooked up"; “Lucky that my breasts are small"; "I don't like no whips and chains/And you can't tie me down"; “The dirty talking it turns to play”).

- Just Dance 2025 Edition is the second game in the franchise where different dancers in the same map are assigned different difficulty ratings, after Michael Jackson: The Experience.
- With only 41 songs, Just Dance 2025 Edition for the third smallest tracklist in the main series, after Just Dance (32), Just Dance 2017 and Just Dance 2026 Edition (40) and is followed by Just Dance 2015 and Just Dance 2024 Edition (42).
- Just Dance 2025 Edition is the first installment on the Just Dance service to be rated E10+ by the ESRB.
- Just Dance 2025 Edition is the first game since Just Dance 3 to not have a physical release for any Xbox console, as the Xbox Series version of the game is not available through a code-in-box release and is only available digitally.
- Just Dance 2025 Edition is the first annual song pack on the Just Dance service to include themed song packs.
- Including the franchise, it is the second one.
- When advertising Just Dance+ in the announcement trailer, Woman (All-Mother Version) is seen in the spiral despite not being featured on the service.
- Call Me Maybe also appears to have no background within its square.
- Just Dance 2025 Edition shares the same release date as Just Dance VR.[1]
- "Can’t Touch Me Now" by Phoenix Dubois was used as the intro to the announcement of the game.[8]
- Ari, UnicornLover, and Lumen Brooks, as well as Scotty’s flower, Brezziana’s boombox, a flamingo pool float from the Flamingo Beach location, and hearts and stars from Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2 can be seen on the cover art.
- Control Response, Mi Gente lo Siente, and Paint The Town Red and its extreme do not have preview trailers for unknown reasons.
- However, the last two had silent clips shown on Instagram and were prefaced with an announcement saying they were unable to give them previews.[9]
- Retailer MediaMarkt erroneously claimed on the Dutch version of its website that "22" by Taylor Swift and "Thrift Shop" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis were included in the game.[10]
- Thrift Shop would later be added to Just Dance 2026 Edition.
- The Ariana Grande song pack was initially marketed by retailers as being an add-on that could be played by anyone with any game on the Just Dance service.[6] However, when it was fully announced, it was clarified that the pack is exclusive to Just Dance 2025 Edition as part of the main list and is not sold separately.[11]

- Just Dance 2025 Edition breaks Just Dance, Just Dance 2022, and Just Dance 2023 Edition’s record for the least amount of cover songs in the entire series, with only one.
- Just Dance 2025 Edition is the first game in the franchise where an artist has more than three songs featured in one game.
- The artist in question is Ariana Grande, with five songs being featured in the game: break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored, One Last Time, the boy is mine, we can’t be friends (wait for your love), and yes, and?.
- Just Dance 2025 Edition ties with Just Dance 2017 as the main series game with the most Ubisoft original songs in the main tracklist, with 6.
- Just Dance 2025 Edition has the least amount of Duets in the whole series since their introduction, having only five.
- Just Dance 2025 Edition has the least amount of alternate routines since Just Dance 2015, having only 11 alternate routines upon release.
- It is also the first game since the introduction of Extreme Versions to not have any featuring a male coach.

- Just Dance 2025 Edition is also the first game in the history of the main series to not include any song from the 1970s.
- Just Dance 2025 Edition is the second game since Just Dance 2017 to not have a Disney song as part of the main track list, after Just Dance 2022.
- On Ubisoft’s promotional email for the song pack, Just Dance 2024 Edition is accidentally mentioned in the title[12], and the track lists for Just Dance 2024 Edition and Just Dance 2023 Edition are displayed before that for Just Dance 2025 Edition.
- Additionally, in the part about the Ariana Grande song pack, we can’t be friends (wait for your love) is simply referred to as we can’t be friends, and the song titles of yes, and? and One Last Time are not separated from the following heart symbol by a space.[13]
- The Ubisoft logo sound (albeit in low pitch) was removed in the Ubisoft logo animation movie.
- The HUD can now appear properly after the transition in most songs from past Just Dance games instead of just appearing before the transition.
- Just Dance 2025 Edition is the first game since Just Dance 2018 to not feature seasons.
- Just Dance 2025 Edition is also the only annual song pack to not have a story mode.
