The Just Dance World Cup 2019, alternatively subtitled Brazil 2019, was the fifth and final annual Just Dance World Cup, held in 2018 and 2019 by Ubisoft and Webedia. The competition was announced on June 11, 2018, with online qualifications held weekly from July 20 to August 26, 2018, and offline qualifications held throughout the year. Similar to the previous year, the top online and offline players faced each other in national finals for a spot in the world finals. In countries without in-person qualifiers, the online winner moved directly onto the world finals. The finals were held on March 30, 2019, in São Paulo, Brazil, and were won by Turkish competitor Umutcan Tütüncü for the third year in a row. After the conclusion of the finals, it was announced that the World Cup would be going on hiatus, and no global competition has occurred since.[1] However, some regional competitions would be held and some competitors would compete at the Olympic Esports Series 2023.
Digital Qualifications[]
Online qualifications were held three times per week, with each time catering to a different region. Players could compete in any session, regardless of region.

Qualifiers[]
The winner of the previous Just Dance World Cup, Umutcan Tütüncü, qualified automatically. The remaining contestants had to qualify through weekly tournaments on the World Dance Floor from July 20 to August 26, 2017. Players in Mexico, France, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, Brazil, Russia, and the Americas, could also qualify through in-person events. The top players from these events would move onto the national finals, where they would go against the top online players from their country to compete for a spot in the finals. The United States also held an in-person national finals, but just with the top online players. In countries without a national final, the top online player moved onto the finals automatically.

Offline qualifiers[]
In the following countries and region, offline qualifications were held in addition to online qualifications, excluding the United States. The top players from each then competed in a national final for a spot in the world finals.[3][4] The national finals, along with the winner of each, is listed below. In Russia and the United Kingdom, the top four online players competed against the top four players from the in-person qualifications. In France, the top player from Paris Games Week competed against the top three players from Just Dance Day and the top four online players. In the United States, the top eight online players competed in the finals. In Italy, the top eight players competed, though the exact amount of online and offline players is unknown.
In Mexico, qualifying events were held in seven cities at Cinemex movie theaters as part of a promotional campaign with Fanta. With the exception of Mexico City, the top player from each city moved onto the finals. In Mexico City, qualifying events were held at four different theaters in Greater Mexico City and the top player from each moved onto the Mexico City finals. The winner of that event moved onto the national finals, where they faced the other six winners and the top online player from Mexico.
In Brazil, qualifying events were held across the country as part of the "Just Dance Tour" event. These included GameXP, Brasil Game Show, and 10 events held at Cinemark movie theaters in 10 different cities. The winners from these 12 events faced the top two online players at the finals at Comic-Con Experience.[5]
In the Rest of America region category, marketed as South America, qualifying events were held in Chile, Colombia, and Argentina. Each country had their own national final, and the winner from each country competed against the top online player for the region at the regional finals.
In Germany, in-person qualifiers were held at Gamescom and during 12 "Just Dance Roadshow" events across the country, with additional events held with MediaSaturn. The top 16 players moved onto the finals, though it is unclear how many online players were included.[6][7] In Spain, four events were held at C&A stores and the winner from each event moved onto the finals, where they competed against the top four online players.[8]
