"Let’s Get It Started" by The Black Eyed Peas was planned to be featured on Just Dance 2, but it was scrapped. An extraction of the coach was found in the files of Just Dance 2 and Just Dance 3.
Appearance of the Dancer[]
The dancer is a man with long blue hair who resembles will.i.am in the music video of the song. He wears a blue and green checkered jacket, a green shirt, a yellow and red hat, a red glove, green trousers with loose red straps, and white shoes.
Background[]
According to beta pictures, the background was a dark orange road with buildings and streetlights on the sides of the screen, being similar to the one from Baby Girl; however the lights are not present.
Trivia[]
General[]
- If I Gotta Feeling and Let’s Get It Started had not been scrapped, they would have been the first two songs by The Black Eyed Peas in the main series.
- The clean version is used, changing the original title, "Let’s Get Ret*rded", to "Let’s Get It Started".
- However, in the files for Just Dance 2, the codename for the map uses the original title, likely because the original song was used to record the routine[4].
- The codename is misspelled as "LetGetRet*rted" instead of "LetsGetRet*rded".
- Let’s Get It Started references Step by Step in its lyrics.
Routine[]
- The coach has overlapping silhouettes behind him, like in the routines of the previous game, and no pictograms were found in the files of Just Dance 2, suggesting that the routine was scrapped in an early part of development.
- The coach appears in a lot of promotional material for Just Dance 2, as well as on the box art for the PAL version of the game.
- On the PAL cover of Just Dance 2, the dancer has a more greenish color scheme.
- The coach’s pants are worn by the coach of I Got You (I Feel Good).
