The dancer is Diego, a man with long brown hair. He wears a black mask, an orange long-sleeve shirt, a beige vest, a light green belt, beige pants, green socks, and a pair of dark brown leather boots. His glove is La Palma green.
At the beginning of the routine, he holds a green rose in his mouth, which he throws away before the song starts.
The routine takes place in a moving carriage with many bags on a road in a desert. In the pre-choruses, there are some square arcs, made out of wooden sticks. In various scenes, many wooden barrels are on the sides of the road, which then explode. And in the chorus, a lot of smoke covers the screen.

Gold Moves[]
There are 5 Gold Moves in this routine:
Gold Moves 1 and 3: Open your arms and legs. Gold Move 2: Act like a "matador" by throwing both of your arms to your right, and stomp with your right foot. Gold Move 4: Similar to Gold Moves 1 and 3, but with your arms and legs opened wider. Gold Move 5: Bow forward with your right arm on your stomach.
Livin’ la Vida Loca is the first song by Ricky Martin in the series.
Livin’ la Vida Loca was referenced by Ubisoft in the ESRB label for Just Dance 4, in which the following lyric was cited "She never drinks the water/Makes you order French champagne".[3]
Starting with the line "Gotta gotta la vida loca", the lyrics do not get highlighted.
This occurs in both the Classic routine and the Mashup.
However, this does not apply to the Xbox 360; on the Wii U, it only happens in the Mashup.
Livin’ la Vida Loca’s pictogram bar beats at 89 BPM, even though the song’s actual BPM is 178.
Diego’s name is likely inspired from Don Diego de la Vega, the real name of Johnston McCulley’s character Zorro.
The following facts can be noticed in the file names of the pictograms:[4]
The first pictogram of the routine is called "juan_object", referencing the Don Juan climbing rose.
In the file name of two pictograms, the word "torero" is misspelled as "torrero".
In the file name of another pictogram, the word "pony" is misspelled as "poney".
In Just Dance Wii U, the coach selection image has been edited to make Diego’s facial hair flesh-colored instead of grey-brownish and place him in the middle and further away from the screen.
However, one small part of his right moustache is still visible.
In Just Dance+, his facial hair has more faded colors and most of the visible part has been removed, but a few pixels have been left unedited.
Diego’s avatar appears in the trailer of Just Dance Now, even though Livin’ la Vida Loca is currently not available in the game.
Despite Diego making an appearance in the teaser and trailer for Just Dance Unlimited, Livin’ la Vida Loca was never made available for the service.
The Just Dance+ cover is notably blurred.
The first three pictograms of the routine have been removed in Just Dance+. They can still be found in the files.[5]
As of the 1.3.0 update, the first three pictograms from the beginning are now visible.
The background is out of sync with the routine in Just Dance Wii U & Just Dance+.
Mashup[]
The first pictogram of the Classic routine overlaps the transition screen. Thus, the Mashups of Livin’ la Vida Loca and Moskau hold the tied record for the earliest appearance of a pictogram in any routine.
The pictograms for Cheerleaders Boot Camp are red with yellow props instead of lime green with indigo props.
One of the pictograms from Take On Me lacks the outline around its body.
Puppet Master Mode[]
Livin’ la Vida Loca has an unused Puppet Master Mode that can be found in the files of the Wii U version of Just Dance 4.[2]
