"Maneater" by Nelly Furtado is featured on Just Dance 4, Just Dance Now, Just Dance Unlimited, 舞力无限, and Just Dance+.
Appearance of the Dancer[]
The dancer is a woman named Lilith. She has long black hair, and red face makeup. She wears a red sleeveless corset with dark red patent sides and a back cape, a pair of deep red patent leather jeans, and a pair of red heels. Her outfit turns blue at a few points, and the jeans, shoes, and face makeup turn purple. She also has a pink outline. During the chorus, her outfit and outline turn blue and the jeans, shoes, and face makeup turn purple. Her necklace and her shoes glow. She also wears a purple glove.
Background[]
The routine takes place at Maneater's Dark Alley, an alleyway outside a club with dark red walls which has a sign that reads "Maneater". During the part where the background turns blue, there are some light dancing shadows which appear to be males. Blue and red smoke appear throughout the routine.

Trivia[]
General[]
- Maneater is the second song by Nelly Furtado in the series.
- However, it is her third song in the entire franchise, including Crocodile Rock (Just Dance Kids 2).
- Among all the pre-Just Dance 2023 Edition songs in the "Just Dance Legends" playlist, Maneater was the only one that had been released in Just Dance+ as part of a season rather than in a regular update.
- Although not credited, Timbaland provides occasional background vocals for the song.
- "Nympho", a reference to excessive female sexual desire, is censored.
- In Just Dance 4, "What you here for?" is misspelled as "What chu here for?".
- This was fixed after the release of the song in Just Dance Unlimited.
Classic[]
- In both preview gameplays, during the chorus, the pictograms remain red instead of turning blue.[3]
- This also happens in Moves Like Jagger (Mashup).
- Lilith wears makeup, but this is not present on the avatar.
- There is a beta pictogram in the Just Dance Now files that resembles one of the pictograms from We No Speak Americano.
- The album coach from the Just Dance Unlimited version is placed more on the left than the one from Just Dance 4.
- When Maneater was first added into Just Dance Now, a VIP subscription was required to play the routine. This was later changed, allowing players to unlock the map with Mojo coins.
- From July 12 to July 19, 2023, Maneater was featured in the temporary Just Dance Now playlist "Discover the Danceverses", which featured Just Dance maps that take place in Dancity; however, on August 9, 2023, Just Dance's Twitter account posted a picture of Lilith along with Cthylla, Felicia, and the coach of Boss Witch with the caption "Eternyx girlies, get in. We're going to the beach x", implying the routine takes place in Eternyx.[4]
- In Just Dance+, when the lyrics "You either want to be/With me or be me" and "Because she said she love you/Love you long time" are sung, one pictogram instructing the player to walk forward mistakenly appears when Lilith walks backward.
- Lilith returns as P2 of DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love.
- The Way I Are takes place inside the Maneater Club. Coincidentally, Timbaland produced both songs.
Mashup[]
- The Mashup of Maneater is the first one to feature only one female coach (including that of its respective Classic routine).
- It is the second one if the scrapped Mashup for Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) is counted.
- The fading effect is not used during transitions, unlike other Mashups in the game, resulting in it being more difficult to dance to.
- Because of this issue, the coach of Dare can still be seen for a split second layered under the coach of Barbra Streisand (Extreme Version).[5]
- However, the fading effect is used on some copies of the game.[6]
- Because of this issue, the coach of Dare can still be seen for a split second layered under the coach of Barbra Streisand (Extreme Version).[5]
- This is the first Mashup where no coaches besides Lilith appears from the same game.
- Also, along with Beauty And A Beat, Crucified, Good Feeling, You’re the First, the Last, My Everything, Maneater is one of the first five Mashups where a coach has no moves in the total of their appearances.
- However, this is the first time for it to be the case with the coach of the Classic routine.
- Also, along with Beauty And A Beat, Crucified, Good Feeling, You’re the First, the Last, My Everything, Maneater is one of the first five Mashups where a coach has no moves in the total of their appearances.
- At the appearance of Dare in the verse and the ending, his dance move has been extended for two seconds longer at the last seconds.
Puppet Master Mode[]
- The following glitches may happen if certain captions are selected.
- If the caption Rock Chick is selected, a pictogram from Dare will briefly appear.
- If the caption Locker Room is selected, a pictogram from Barbra Streisand will appear for a short period of time.
- If the caption Mod’s Madness is selected, a pictogram from U Can’t Touch This will appear and reach the end of the line before the next caption is chosen.
- The pictograms for Jerk It Out’s caption Nerdy have some additional arrows that are usually not seen in other Mashups or Puppet Master Modes in the game.
- The Puppet Master Mode is affected by a visual bug that causes the next coach to briefly appear and fade instead of the coach that is on screen.[7]
