"Montero (Call Me By Your Name)" (stylized as "MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)") by Lil Nas X was featured on Just Dance Unlimited and 舞力无限, but was removed on August 1 and 2, 2024, respectively, due to licensing issues. It remains available on Just Dance Now (for players who subscribed before April 9, 2024). The song can be also found in the files of Just Dance+.
Appearance of the Dancer[]

The coach is a devil named Amalthea.[2] He has pink skin, dark magenta slicked back hair, dark blue horns, and long ears. He is wearing a blue skin-tight bodysuit adorned with vertical lines of rhinestones from chest to knees, and matching high heels that emanate a tenuous light. He also has blue fabric strips surrounding his arms. Fur sticks out of his chest and right sleeve, which is painted jade green to create a glove illusion on the latter. He has a glowing dark violet outline. He also wears a teal glove.
Background[]
The routine takes place in a land of rocky mountains surrounded by a large body of water called Destiny Isle.
The map starts with the title card over pink fog. It dissolves, and the camera moves forward revealing the coach on a rock surrounded by water. There are rocky mountains and a starry sky in the distance. For a second, the Capricorn constellation can be seen in the sky. Cracks on the mountains glow in sync to the song. Glowing eyes float in the sky and look around before closing. The setting changes on the pre-chorus. The coach is between rocky walls with hands carved on them. Glowing diamonds float over said hands. There is an opening between the walls filled with light, and in the distance can be seen the silhouette of a mountain.
During the chorus, the coach stands on a floating rock which ascends in front of a rocky mountain which has carvings of the coach's face, but with the Capricorn sign on his forehead. There are glowing crowns over the heads. Red and blue lights quickly appear in sync to the song. At the top of the mountain is a large moon. When the coach bends his torso, the Capricorn constellation appears behind him, along with a rainbow distortion filter. The coach returns to the first background in the second verse, but there are no stars in the sky and the place is a lot dimmer, before returning to normal.
The setting on the bridge is on rocky mountain tops with a view of the moon. Rocks float upwards in the sky and one of them falls on the rock platform the coach is on, breaking into pieces. Glowing lightning icons float and glitch.
The last chorus stays the same as the other two, but now starts at the top of the mountain. It is darker and there are less stars. The map ends with the camera zooming out, giving a full view of the rock the coach is on and his silhouette over the moon.
Gold Moves[]
There are 3 Gold Moves in this routine:
Gold Move 1: Cross your legs and bring your arms up in front of you.
Gold Move 2: Crouch down with your right leg extended outward while putting your hands on your knees.
Gold Move 3: Place your arms out by your sides and shake your shoulders.

Trivia[]
General[]
- Montero (Call Me By Your Name) is the third song by Lil Nas X in the series.
- Montero (Call Me By Your Name) is the ninth song in the main series whose codename is entirely spelled in caps, after S.O.S., E.T., Alphabet Song, DDU-DU DDU-DU, OMG, Toy, and X.
- A clean version of the song is used in the game, with the addition from the explicit-only "Satan’s Extended Version" appended.[3]
- "F**k it, let’s ride" is censored in the latter’s segment.
- Ellipses do not appear during the removed line.
- Additionally, the game censors "dime" and "hella".
- An earlier version of the gameplay that can be found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers completely censors the swearing and drug references and leaves the innuendos uncensored, instead of using the clean version.
- "F**k it, let’s ride" is censored in the latter’s segment.
- The line "And I see the reason why" is misinterpreted as "All I see the reason why".
- In a series of tweets posted by @justdancegame on Twitter during the promotional "Tarot Week", the artist’s name is incorrectly shown as "Lil X Nas".[4]
Routine[]
- In the trailer for Season 1: Astral, the tarot cards refer to Amalthea as "The Devil".
- In the Just Dance Unlimited servers, there are early pictograms with several differences from the final ones, including a differently-designed version of the Gold Move 3 pictogram.
- In the preview gameplay, the pictogram bar is modeled after the one from Just Dance 2018 and Just Dance 2019. However, all the other HUD elements are from Just Dance 2022.
- The constellation for Capricorn appears in the background throughout the routine.
- In the Just Dance Now .json file, the "OriginalJDVersion" string reads "9999".[5]
- In the tweet that reveals Amalthea’s name, the coach is described as "an insightful seer with a sensitive heart".[2]
- On April 1, 2022, Eduardo Bañuelos (the performer and choreographer of Montero (Call Me By Your Name)) uploaded a video of himself performing the routine to his own YouTube channel.[6]
