"Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley is featured on Just Dance 4 and Just Dance Now (for players who subscribed before April 9, 2024). The song was also featured on Just Dance Unlimited and 舞力无限, but was removed on August 1 and 2, 2024, respectively.
The dancer is a man named Mister Overload who is dressed up as a superhero. He has brown combed hair and he wears a purple jumpsuit over his orange undershirt, orange underwear over his jumpsuit, a yellow cape with a pair of straps, a brown belt, a vivid magenta glove, and yellow boots. He also wears an orange mask over his eyes.

Background[]
The routine takes place on The Big A, where Mr. Overload is seen at the rooftop of a building with a city seen behind. There are neon signs, lit buildings, and several other structures. Lasers, a Godzilla-like monster, fighter jets, the Titanic, numerous giant robots, UFOs, and meteorites are also visible in the background. During the bridge, the moon turns out to be a distress signal with a mask and moves around temporarily. Which he seems to notice, and all the problems disappear before more appear after the bridge. A sign in the background reads "SOUNDS", but the letters U, N, and D are flickering so "SOS" is read instead. There is also a sign at the very far back into the background that says "JUST DANCE" which resembles the Hollywood sign.

Release History[]
This section details the release and removal history of Never Gonna Give You Up.
Never Gonna Give You Up is the first post-Just Dance 3 routine to gain a completely different menu icon and album coach.
The coach selection image has been changed, too, as the coach himself is less off-centered.
Among all the post-Just Dance 3 routines that received changes in their pictograms, Never Gonna Give You Up is one of the few where the color of the pictograms or the props has been notably changed (in this case, the pictograms are now light violet with magenta props rather than violet with fuchsia props).
At the end of the routine, Mr. Overload tries to fly down the building, but he trips and falls hard onto the roof, with a Wilhelm scream being heard.
This does not happen in the mashup, but he still trips and falls hard.
This does not happen in the Puppet Master Mode, where he just flies away like a real superhero instead of falling.
Mr. Overload has appeared in many advertisements for Just Dance 4.
Sometimes, there is a glitch on the Wii where P1 of Istanbul (Not Constantinople) will appear on the scoring screen instead of Mr. Overload.
The background for Never Gonna Give You Up appears as a glitch in My Main Girl. When the song is paused, the background appears along with the word "TEMPLATE" written in a Far West font all over it.
Also, the sign that reads "SOUNDS" in the original routine now reads "DANCE".
When Never Gonna Give You Up was first uploaded to the old Just Dance Now servers, the pictograms and the lyrics hexadecimal[4] were taken from Just Dance 4. As soon as the map was released to Just Dance Unlimited, however, new pictograms were made, and the lyrics color was changed from bright purple to fuchsia-pink.
In the new Just Dance Now servers, the Just Dance 4 square was used for a short period of time.[5][6]
Never Gonna Give You Up made an appearance in the Just Dance Unlimited trailer despite it not being available on the service at the time. An official release date wound up being announced within March 19, 2020 (around five years after the first Just Dance Unlimited trailer).
He, along with many others, makes a cameo in the background of Uptown Funk.
He makes a cameo in the "Just Dance 2020 Power Party" teaser.
The menu assets from Just Dance 4 can be found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers. This implies that they were originally not meant to be changed.[7][8][9]
A placeholder menu banner can be found in the Just Dance Unlimited servers.[10]
On May 17, 2021, an unknown map called "TestMapLoudness" was added to a test server of Just Dance Now. It consists of the first ten seconds of Never Gonna Give You Up’s coach extraction, and it plays a beeping sound.
