Appearance of the Dancers[]
P1[]
Original[]
P1 is a woman with magenta hair with a pony-tail low and to the side. Her outfit appears to have a tied up dark blue shirt wrapped over a sea-green top, sea-green hoop earrings, magenta pants that handles by a blue and belt with yellow buckle, and sea-green shoes that appear to be kitten heel boots. She wears a sea-green fingerless glove.
Remake[]
In the remake, her face is less visible and more realistic, with given color change: her hair is colored wine red, as are her pants. Her top is in a shade of teal, as are her belt and boots and Her hoop earrings, and belt buckle are now pink. Her glove is now purple.
P2[]
Original[]
P2 is a man with a purple tattoo on his right arm, purple facial hair, and purple hair that is covered by a teal bandana. He wears a teal tank top, dark blue wristband on his left arm, blue denim pants with cyan pocket borders, handled by a magenta belt, and a pair magenta sneakers with sea-green top, white laces, and blue sole. He has Malachite yellow glove.
Remake[]
In the remake, his face is less visible and he is more realistic, with given color change: his bandana is in a dark shade of violet, His top is purple, his bracelet is emerald green, and his teal jeans with purple pockets are held up by a wine red belt. His hair is now in a shade of pink, and his tattoo is a darker red. His glove is now pink.
Background[]
Original (Wii/PS3)[]
The routine takes place in a room full of spirals of color-changing pumping lines, which frequently interchange between blue, teal, and pink. They also go along with the beat of the song. There is also a dim, purple neon light at the bottom of the wall, which fades to violet and is connected to a reflective floor.
Original (Xbox 360)[]
In the Xbox 360 version of Just Dance 3, the scenery has no floor; however, the coaches are still reflected.
Remake[]
In the remake, the background is almost the same as in the Wii/PS3 version, but has darker colors.

Promiscuous has an unlockable Duet Mashup on Just Dance 3.

Trivia[]
General[]
- Promiscuous is the first song by Nelly Furtado in the series.
- It is also the first song by Timbaland in the series.
- Baby Zouk and Promiscuous are the first two songs to have a Duet Mashup.
- However, Promiscuous’s is technically the first one in the series, because it is unlocked earlier than Baby Zouk’s.
- The lines "hit it", "with nothing on", and "before you bring that on" (when Nelly sings it) are censored.
- The line "You’re dope, have a player 'bout to choke" is misinterpreted as "You don’t have a player on your trunk".
- The line "Do you mind if I come through?" is misinterpreted as "Do you mind if I come too?".
- The line "How you lookin' for her in the daytime with the light?" is split into two separate lines, reading "How you lookin' for her in the day/Time with the light".
- The dancers' appearance are loosely based off of the artists as they appear in the music video.
- They also text with their phones at the beginning and end of the routine, which is based on a scene in the video, but they call on their phones instead.
- Promiscuous was referenced by Ubisoft in the ESRB label of Just Dance 3, in which the following lyric was cited: "Promiscuous girl, you’re teasing me,"[2]
- On Just Dance Wii 2, the following lines receive delayed highlighting:
- "Do you take me for?"
- "Let’s walk for a minute"
- "I can see you"
- "Feeling on me"
- "Like Steve Nash"
- "No more"
- "So does everybody else"
Classic[]
- P2 is the first coach with tattoos in the Just Dance series.
- The following glitches can be noticed in Just Dance 3 and Just Dance Wii 2:
- P1’s nostrils sometimes turn blue, and parts of her top turn white.
- P2’s neck and face often turn purple.
- Many pictograms are semi-transparent in Just Dance 3 and Just Dance Wii 2.
- In the remake, some body features of the coaches glitch often: for example, some parts of P1’s hair turn white and P2’s face becomes slightly purple when his tattoo on his right arm is near his right eye.
- In the old Just Dance Now servers, there is a bundle for Promiscuous that contains unused assets for the remake, where the coaches’ outlines are fuchsia and in full opacity.
- The Just Dance Unlimited album coach has a white fade at the bottom, in the style of the Just Dance 2014 and Just Dance 2015 album coaches.
- In the Just Dance 2016 version of Just Dance Unlimited, the Gold Move effect for Gold Moves 1 and 3 is glitchy. This issue was fixed in the Just Dance 2017 version.
- Even though it features a male dancer, Promiscuous has been featured on the "Groovy Queens!" playlist on Just Dance Now twice.
- In Just Dance+, there are two pictogram errors:
- In the verse, two pictograms show P2 lifting up the opposite leg.
- During the second and third choruses, P1 and P2's colors in one pictogram were not switched when both players switch opposite directions.
Mashup[]
- All coaches of P1 are female and all coaches of P2 are male.
- This makes Promiscuous and Take On Me the first two Mashups were all coaches stay the same gender.
- On the Xbox 360 version of the Mashup, the pictograms are stretched vertically.
- The Hot Stuff coaches have swapped color schemes; their orange parts are purple, and their purple parts are orange.
- Moreover, Hot Stuff’s Gold Move was removed.
- Also, their appearance on the menu square is their original appearance.
- In the Wii version, the first pictogram for Promiscuous has added arrows that are not present in the Classic version.[3] The added arrows are in the style of Just Dance 2 (with the arrowhead on both ends).
- However, this does not happen in the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions of the Mashup.[4]
