"Lover Coaster" is the first season on Just Dance+ for Just Dance 2023 Edition.[1] The season started on February 27, 2023, and ended on May 9, 2023. The season is themed around the love-themed amusement park of the same name.

- Excluding World Tour, Season 1: Lover Coaster is the first season in the history of Just Dance+.
- The season was originally estimated to start in March but started in February instead.
- The season was first hinted by Just Dance’s social media accounts on February 14, 2023 through a video of Luke Cypher, Ruben, Liv, and Jack Rose appearing on a fictional dating app called Dancr. The name of this app is inspired from Grindr, and its interface is based on that of Tinder.
- An ad within the app teases a new park opening up in Dancity as the perfect place to take a date, which is the amusement park the season is themed after.
- The end of the video shows a chat between Jack Rose and an unspecified user texting him "Red looks good on you!". This was referenced on Just Dance’s social media accounts the following day through a "Day in the Life" comic strip of Jack Rose receiving an unsigned Valentine card.
- The app Dancr reappears as a computer icon on a meme posted by Just Dance’s Twitter account for Season 2: Y2K, which consists of a desktop based on Windows XP featuring several references to the Just Dance series.[3]
- A slightly different version of the song Because I Like It by MOA is used in the trailer.[4]
- Each new map takes place or is referenced by a ride in the park, each of which can be seen in the map that served as a teaser for the season. Specifically, Abc (Nicer) takes place at the Alphabet Tumble, Thank U, Next is referenced by the Next Ship, Wet Tennis takes place at the Smash Wheel, Provenza is referenced by the Memory Alley, and About Damn Time takes place at the Palace of Time.
- On February 22, 2023, Just Dance’s Twitter account referenced Season 1: Lover Coaster by retweeting a video of Britney Spears telling her fans "Never be a roller coaster!" and replying "Unless it’s a Lover Coaster xox".[5]
- On the international announcement on Twitter, the logo has been slightly altered.
- The Season page and season progression system were made available slightly later on Xbox due to bugs.[6]
- Upon the start of the season, the following bugs could occur:
- On Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, rewards could not be unlocked.[7][8]
- This was fixed a few hours after the start of the season.[9]
- When trying to view the Season page, a "No connection" error screen would always show up.[10][11][12]
- In the Spanish-language version of Just Dance 2023 Edition, some strings of code were with <MISSING:Spanish:[four digits]>.[10]
- On Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, rewards could not be unlocked.[7][8]
