The song was free to play on Just Dance+ from May 9, 2023 to May 17, 2023 as part of Season 2: Showdown.
Appearance of the Dancers[]
The routine is performed by a trio consisting of one woman and two men, all of them representing Sun Horizon. They all have golden shimmering outlines.
P1[]
P1 is Chavez. He is a man with short black hair and a beard. He wears a black open long-sleeved midriff-baring jacket, with golden trimmings and golden shoulder pads that have looped golden chains attached to the front and across his open chest. He also wears a pair of black slacks with thick golden sequined lines by the sides, as well as a pair of black leather shoes. His glove is blue.
P2[]
P2 is Estrella. She is a woman with black tied hair, brushed to the right side with wavy strands and her hair tied in a tight bun, which is secured by a golden hairpin. The bun is also colored to be dark red. Her makeup features golden eyeshadow, sharp eyelashes and red lips. She wears a black bra and shorts, both of which are adorned with golden embellishments across her body and having golden tassels by the lower ends of the shorts. She also wears a black open long-sleeved cropped jacket with golden shoulder pads and golden embellishments by the sleeve ends. Lastly, she wears a pair of black above-the-knee high heels boots with golden embellishments by the leg surface, golden leg sleeve trimmings and a golden block heel. Her jewelry consists of a pair of golden hoop earrings and golden necklaces, with red gems attached by thin golden chains. Her glove is red.
As soon as the second verse starts, Estrella pulls away her hairpin and tosses it away, letting her hair loose.
P3[]
P3 is Juan. He is a man with black hair that is slightly tied up, with some messy strands flowing out of the bun. He also has a thin mustache and an underbeard. His glove is purple.

Trivia[]
General[]
- The "Eurovision’s Dancebreak Edit" of the song is used in-game.
- The map was initially labeled as an Extreme version, which would have made SloMo the seventh song in the Just Dance series to lack a Classic routine, after Jamaican Dance, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, You’re On My Mind, Dancing Queen, Shoutout, and Vleugels.
- However, this designation was later removed.
- An original dance routine for SloMo was created by choreographer and performer Stas Cranberry for his audition to work for the Just Dance series.[3]
- The "Greetings from Sun Horizon" postcard might be a reference to the "Greetings from Florida" postcard.
Routine[]
- SloMo is the ninth Trio to have an Extreme difficulty rating, after Black Mamba, Jopping, Mood (Alternate Version), Gokuraku Joudo, Anything I Do, Psycho, WANNABE, and Stay (VIP Version).
- SloMo marks Estelle Manas’s debut as a performer in the Just Dance series. Prior to the creation of SloMo, she had only worked as the choreography director for Just Dance 2023 Edition.
- Coincidentally, her name sounds similar to Estrella’s name.
- According to costume designer Benjamin Jouffret, she was chosen as the performer for Estrella because both of them look similar to Chanel.[4]
- Estrella’s name is Spanish for "star", likely a nod to how she is an on-stage performer and a "super star". This expression also has a Spanish equivalent, "super estrella".
- This could also be a reference to Sun Horizon being her Danceverse of origin, since the Sun is a star.
- The pictogram bar does not beat at all until the start of the first verse.
- The stars on Estrella’s avatar are taken from the logo for the 2019 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest.
- However, the song SloMo actually competed in the 2022 edition.
- On May 23, 2023, Just Dance’s Twitter account encouraged followers to share their top scores on SloMo.[5]
- The players with the top five scores on said post would receive custom Twitter banners featuring the phrase "License to Slay" the high score, the winner’s username, and the coaches themselves posing.
- On June 29, 2023, the Just Dance YouTube channel uploaded an interview with Estelle Manas (Estrella’s performer) about her performance in SloMo. In this interview, she says that her favorite parts of the routine are the ones where she interacts with Chavez and Juan[6] and the hardest one for her was the dance break, because she had to use enough stamina while still looking sexy.[7] Besides, the biggest challenge for her was memorizing the lyrics so that she could lip-sync, as she does not speak Spanish.[8]
- Via Ubisoft Connect, assets for this song are available to download upon Sun Horizon’s win in the Showdown poll on the Just Dance Twitter account.
