• Smurf This Way is the eight credited song by Tom Zehnder in the franchise.
  • It is also the fifth credited and eight overall song by Drew Ryan Scott in the franchise.
• In Tom Zehnder's production credits, the song is titled Walk This Way, Smurf This Way.
• Smurf This Way is a parody of Walk This Way by Aerosmith, with some changes.
  • The first verse was removed, along with a lot of words being replaced with "Smurf" or changed to Smurfs references.
  • Despite the credits saying the song is a parody of the original version, the song uses elements of both the original and Run DMC versions of the song, along with some changes not seen in either one.
    • The instrumentation is closer to Run DMC's version.
    • "Me" (from the line "And they find they were lookin' at me") was used like in the original. In Run DMC's version, "Me" was changed to "D".
    • In the Run DMC's version, "Of the swing like you didn't care" was changed to "I was swinging like I didn't care". In Smurf This Way, it was changed again to "And you swing like you just don't care".
    • In the choruses, the line "She told me to" appear. The line was added in Run DMC's version.
• Smurf This Way was referenced by Ubisoft in the ESRB label of The Smurfs Dance Party, in which the following lyrics were cited: "An’ I Smurfed her just a little kiss," and "I was a Smurf-school loser/Never made it with a lady,".
