"Step by Step" by New Kids on the Block is featured on Just Dance, Just Dance: Greatest Hits, Just Dance Now, Just Dance Unlimited, 舞力无限, and Just Dance+. It was also featured on Just Dance 3 as a downloadable track for the Xbox 360, but became unavailable for purchase following the removal of most DLCs from the Xbox 360 Marketplace on August 20, 2023.
Appearance of the Dancer[]
Original[]
The dancer is a man with light blue hair. He wears a light blue hat with an orange stripe, a red-orange T-shirt, a pair of light blue overalls with thin white pocket boarders, and a pair of blue sneakers with red-orange accents, and white laces and soles. He also wears a light blue wristband on his left forearm and an orange wristband on his right forearm.
Just Dance 3/Just Dance: Greatest Hits[]
In Just Dance 3 and Just Dance: Greatest Hits, he now has a more lighter color scheme and has a red outline.
Remake[]
In the remake, the coach is more realistic and his face is less visible. The blue parts of his outfit are now green and the red parts of his outfit are now pink. He now has a green outline.
Background[]
Just Dance[]
The routine takes place in a room with a basic blue wall. There are light blue blocks at the bottom and light blue animated lines streak across the wall throughout the routine. The wall has a dark pink border with a light pink shine emitting from it.
Just Dance 3/Just Dance: Greatest Hits (Xbox 360)[]
In Just Dance 3 and the Xbox 360 version of Just Dance: Greatest Hits, the background has completely changed. The routine now takes place in a room with lots of blue and purple panels moving and sliding around behind the coach. The floor is now more reflective, with reflections of the panels on it. There is a purple light behind the coach. At the beginning, a male voice says "Ladies and gentlemen," and at the beginning and end of the routine, there are cheering sounds. The coach appears with a horizontal line effect.
Just Dance: Greatest Hits (Wii)[]
In the Wii version of Just Dance: Greatest Hits, the background is less detailed. The blocks mostly move up and down and fowards and backwards. Six blocks occasionally flash pink during the routine. Sometimes, two blocks on each side of the round move fowards towards the screen before returning to its original position.
Remake[]
In the remake, the background is based on the one in Just Dance 3 and the Xbox 360 version of Just Dance: Greatest Hits, except the room now has a dark blue hue. There is now a spotlight directly above the dancer. Several white, yellow, and purple floating dots float across the background.
Gold Moves[]
There are 3 Gold Moves in the routine’s post-Just Dance appearances:
Gold Moves 1 and 2: Move your arms in a semicircle and put them on your head.
Gold Move 3: Punch the air with your right hand with your left hand on your right hand and put your left leg out.
