"Take On Me" by a-ha is featured on Just Dance 3, Just Dance Now, Just Dance Unlimited, and 舞力无限. The song can be also found in the Just Dance+ files.
Appearance of the Dancer[]
Original[]
The coach is a young man with purple hair. He is wearing a golden bandanna, a dark indigo shirt that is under a red varsity jacket with turquoise blue sleeves, buttons, and visible pockets on each side, dark indigo pants that is handled by a turquoise blue belt and a golden buckle and has golden cuffs, and black shoes with turquoise blue laces and soles. His glove is golden. He has a purple outline.
Remake[]
In the remake, his face is no longer as visible as the original and more realistic, his clothes are slightly lighter and all the dark indigo parts, as well as his hair, are now black. He is now presented with a blue outline that fades around his shoes.
Background[]
Just Dance 3 (Wii/PS3)[]
The background is colored red, blue, and purple, in a circular gradient. In the middle are some slow spinning triangles, which are white and are briefly transparent. Around are some white flashing lights, and slow steaming smoke. The reflection of the score gauges and the dancer are seen on the floor.
At the end, the dancer is "absorbed" by the triangle with a swirl animation.
Just Dance 3 (Xbox 360)[]
In the Xbox 360 version, the lights are differently animated, and they have different colors (purple on the left and red on the right). The floor is covered in smoke and the triangle lacks the reflection, making it appear to be floating.
Remake[]
In the remake, the background looks slightly darker, and slightly slower. Much like most remakes, the coach is no longer "absorbed" and simply fades to black first and then the background.

Take On Me has an unlockable Mashup on Just Dance 3. It features only male dancers.

Trivia[]
General[]
- Take On Me is the first song in the series to be by an artist of Norwegian descent.
- A part of this song is sampled in Feel This Moment.[2]
- On the Xbox 360, the preview audio starts at the first instrumental part rather than at the chorus (unlike on other consoles and in following games).
- Take On Me is referenced in the lyrics of S.O.S..
Classic[]
- The dancer appears in the background of Teenage Dream on a poster.
- In Just Dance 3, the dancer swirls away in a circle at the end of the routine, giving the illusion that he is absorbed to the triangles in the back. However, this is not the case in the remake. Instead, he turns black and the whole scene fades away.
- In the PS3 version, the coach does swirl at the end, however, he reappears after the swirl for a few seconds.[3]
- This is not the case in the Mashup, as he swirls away and does not return.
- In the PS3 version, the coach does swirl at the end, however, he reappears after the swirl for a few seconds.[3]
- In the Just Dance Unlimited trailer, the square from Just Dance 3 appears rather than its remake square.
- The background is slightly slower in the remake, to the point where the background lights become off-sync with the song.
Mashup[]
- In the Mashup’s icon in the Specials menu, the dancer for Crying Blood can be seen, despite her not actually appearing in the Mashup.
- However, on the Xbox 360, when the mashup has not been unlocked yet, she is replaced by the coach of Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go (who actually makes an appearance in the Mashup).
- Also, Crazy Christmas is in his C2 form instead of his C3 form, as it is in the original square. This probably happens because only C2 appears in the Mashup.
- Also, Hey Ya! has a third arm in the Mashup square.
- This was also the case in Pump It.
- Promiscuous and Take On Me are the first two Mashups in which the coaches stay the same gender throughout the whole routine.
- This is also the first Mashup to feature all male coaches.
- In the Mashup, the Gold Move done with Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go was not originally a Gold Move.
