"Telephone" (Runaway Version) is featured on Just Dance 2023 Edition.
Appearance of the Dancers[]
The dancers are a pair of women, previously backup dancers from Telephone. Both of them have light blue faded outlines in the verses and yellow faded outlines in the choruses.
P1[]
P1 is Bonnie. She is a woman with blonde hair, with large curled portions on the left side that is supported by red empty soda cans. She also has black eyebrows, and red lips. She wears a black sleeveless fishnet top, black waist-high short shorts, black fishnet above-the-knee stockings, and shiny ankle-length leather high heeled boots. Yellow security tapes are wrapped on her neck and across her chest, containing "TELEPHONE" and "BABY" in black letters. Her glove is red.
P2[]
P2 is Clyde. She is a woman with brunette shoulder-length hair, combed to the back and with waves at the end. She also has brunette eyebrows, and purple lips. She wears a corset-like top consisting of a shiny silver studded black bra and black fishnet abdomen, black waist-high short shorts, a black fishnet legging on her left leg, and shiny ankle-length leather high heeled boots. Yellow security tapes are wrapped on her neck and diagonally from her left underarm to her right shoulder, containing "STOP" and "NO" in black letters. Her glove is pink.
Background[]
The routine takes place in a desert highway at night, with the dancers sitting on the back of a pickup truck. The truck features four exhaust pipes sticking out by the sides, with five lights on top of the back window. The dancers are all sitting on top crates, along with a slightly busted safe and an open crate behind them. The road features streetlights that emit a blue light. Doting around the desert are unlit telephone booths.
During the verses, the lights above the back window are blue while the sides of the pickup truck flash yellow.
During the choruses and post-choruses, the back window emits a yellow light and the truck's headlights are on, illuminating the road ahead. The colors of the lights above the back window have changed to yellow.
During the refrains, the headlights are turned off and the lights are changed to blue, although the light from the back window is less luminous. The telephone booths also flash a yellow light per alternating beat.
The routine ends with the police lights growing bright and the sirens louder. Both dancers raise their hands up and grin nervously, having been caught by them.
Gold Moves[]
There are 3 Gold Moves in this routine:
Gold Move 1: Slowly raise your arms upwards while making pumping motions with your body.
Gold Move 2: Raise your arms into the air.
Gold Move 3: Quickly lower your arms down into a shrug-like motion. This is a right-to-left wave Gold Move.

Routine[]
- Among all seated routines in the Just Dance series, Telephone (Runaway Version) is the second one to be a female Duet, after Sua Cara (Limo Version).
- It is the third multiplayer seated routine (not counting Buttons) where both or all coaches are female, after Chantaje (Subway Version) and Sua Cara (Limo Version).
- The coaches’ names, Bonnie and Clyde, are a reference to American criminal couple Bonnie Elizabeth Parker and Clyde Chestnut (Champion) Barrow.
- Both coaches appear in the Classic routine as backup dancers.
- However, Bonnie’s hair is different, as it is taken from another backup dancer from the Classic routine.
- The routine is inspired by the final scenes of the song’s music video, where Lady Gaga and Beyoncé run away in a pickup truck.
- The routine can be spotted in the background of Can’t Stop the Feeling! (Danceverse Prince Version).
- On September 27, 2022, a short GIF of the routine was posted on Just Dance’s official Twitter account in response to a tweet by MTV reading "Just curious... what’s your go-to karaoke song?".[2]
- In the Japanese launch trailer for Just Dance 2023 Edition, Telephone (Runaway Version) is mistakenly displayed instead of the Classic routine.[3]
- In concept art, poses from the Classic are used, meaning that Bonnie's dancer is different.
- According to the now-removed video "Answering your Lore Questions l Just Dance 2023 Edition", both coaches escaped from the police, who were affiliated with Night Swan.
- Bonnie reappears in the background of Paparazzi on a photo.
