Cast and crew[]
Just Dance is produced by a diverse team across several studios on multiple continents. Here are some of the choreographers and performers who worked on Just Dance 2024 Edition. Please note that this is not a complete list, it just shows members who have made multiple or notable appearances.
- Aurélie Sériné: A dancer and choreographer since Just Dance 4, Aurélie has appeared in several routines over the years. This year, she portrays Asha in This Wish, which she also chreographed.
- Harmony Dibongue-Levy, Clara Belenus, and Shylee BendOvaa: Three dancers who portray the Muses in Zero to Hero. This is Harmony's first appearance, Clara's second, and Shylee's sixth. Shylee also appears as Chalina in Despechá.
- Jérémy Ľpl: Jérémy Ľpl makes his series debut as Kingsley in Calm Down
- Jerky Jessy: Celebrating 10 years with the game, Jerky Jessy returns to the game, choreographing and appearing in several routines. Most notably, he reprises his role as Wanderlust in this year's story mode and he choreographed and provided reference footage for Rapper’s Delight, calling it his tribute to the hip-hop community.
- Sarah Magassa: Sarah Magassa, who has been with the franchise since 2016, returns to reprise her role as Mothigan and appears as Blessing. She has now performed in at least 20 routines.
Artists[]
And now, here are the Black artists in the game!
Ariana DeBose[]
Ariana DeBose makes her series debut with This Wish, a collaboration with Disney's Wish, where she voices the main character, Asha. The song was an unexpected addition, being added after the game was released to coincide with the US release of the film.
Busta Rhymes[]
Busta Rhymes makes his second main series appearance after an 11-game absence, one of the series' longest, as a featured artist on Don’t Cha. He last appeared on Run The Show on Just Dance 4.
Destiny's Child[]
In a rare instance of a group appearing after a member had multiple solo appearances, Destiny's Child makes their series debut with Survivor. Member Beyoncé has appeared six times in the main series prior to the group's inclusion.
Gloria Jones[]
While some may think Soft Cell is the original artist, Tainted Love was actually originally recorded by soul singer Gloria Jones almost two decades prior. Just Dance features an original rock cover of the song performed by Sara as the conclusion to this year's story mode.
Kah-Lo[]
Nigerian singer Kah-Lo makes a surprise appearance as a featured artist on Sofi Tukker's Woof. As of February 2024, the song is still not released outside of the game, making its inclusion unexpected. It is her second appearance in the series.
Latto[]
American rapper Latto makes her series debut as a featured artist on Jung Kook's Seven.
Leigh-Anne Pinnock (Little Mix)[]
Leigh-Anne Pinnock makes her second appearance as a member of Little Mix with Wasabi.
Lillias White, Cheryl Freeman, LaChanze, Roz Ryan & Vaneese Thomas[]
The Muses, voiced by Lillias White, Cheryl Freeman, LaChanze, Roz Ryan, and Vaneese Thomas, make their series debut with Zero to Hero from Disney's Hercules. The song is available on Just Dance+ as part of Season 1: Disney Magical Time.
Rema[]
While those in North America may be more familiar with the Selena Gomez remix, Calm Down was already doing numbers worldwide with just Rema. The biggest Afrobeats song of 2023, it is no surprise to see it in the game this year, marking Rema's series debut.
SZA[]
SZA makes her fifth appearance, and first unaccompanied, with Kill Bill. It is another one of the biggest hits of the year.
The Sugarhill Gang[]
The Sugarhill Gang makes their second main series appearance, this time covered, with Rapper’s Delight. It is their first after a 12-game absence, the second longest gap in the series. The routine is a commemoration of the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, and the song is considered the introduction of the genre to a wider audience.
Whitney Houston[]
One of the biggest music icons of all time, Whitney Houston makes her main series debut with one of the most iconic songs of all time, I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me). Its main series appearance finally marks its exit from Smurf jail.
Zach Zoya[]
Zach Zoya is yet another artist making his series debut this year, appearing with Banx and Ranx on After Party. The song is a collaboration with Ubisoft and is available for free in the demo of the game.
The Weeknd[]
Moving onto last year's Just Dance+ exclusives released after last year's blogs, we have The Weeknd making his fifth appearance with Sacrifice. The song was released last August as part of Season 3: Beach, Summer & Vampires.
Usher[]
And finally, we have one of the biggest artists to make a surprise debut during a season, Usher. DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love was added as a surprise fourth exclusive to Season 3: Beach, Summer & Vampires with no prior announcement whatsoever.
