Hello everyone! It is February, which means it is time for Black History Month! That means it is time to highlight the Black artists, cast, and crew in the game, as well as the fanart and mashups from the community. Today is part 1, which focuses on Just Dance 2025 Edition and the Just Dance+ exclusives released since last year! If you would like to submit art to be featured in part 2, please do so here!

Cast and crew[]
Just Dance is produced by a diverse team across several studios on multiple continents. Here are some of the choreographers and performers who worked on Just Dance 2025 Edition. Please note that this is not a complete list, it just shows members who have made multiple or notable appearances.
- Alissa Edn makes her return after a three-game absence to play Spikes in Paint The Town Red and its extreme.
- Audrey: Audrey is a hairstylist and wig designer who is one of the crew members who play a key role in making sure all the costumes look as good as they do. She works on wigs and other headpieces for the coaches.
- Aurélie Sériné: Aurélie Sériné is a dancer and choreographer who has been working with Just Dance since 2012. This year, she played a bigger role behind the camera, primarily working as a choreographer this year. She choreographed routines such as Halloween’s Here, Play Date, Stop This Fire, In Your Eyes (Remix), and Dubidubidu (Chipi Chipi Chapa Chapa).
- Caitlin B.: Caitlin is one of the score level designers for Just Dance. This means she works on scoring and worked on bringing camera scoring to the controller app. She also works with the choreographers and performers to ensure that routines are compatible with scoring.
- Gigi Palmer: Gigi Palmer, also known as Gigi Revlon, is a member of the House of Revlon, a French ballroom house. She makes her second appearance this year in Vogue (Ballroom Version), alongside several other members of the House of Revlon. She also appeared during the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics.
- Jerky Jessy: Jerky Jessy is another dancer and choreographer who has been with the franchise since 2014. This year, he also took on more of a behind the scenes role, working as a choreographer for routines like Training Season and Paint The Town Red (Extreme Version).
- Shylee BendOvaa reprises her role as Chalina this year, this time for the song Espresso.
Artists[]
And now, here are the Black artists in the game, as well as any that were added to Just Dance+ after the publication of last year's blog.
Doja Cat[]
Doja Cat makes both her fifth and sixth appearance this year, as she is one of only two artists this year to have multiple songs on the list (the other is Ariana Grande with a record-breaking five). She appears this year on Paint The Town Red and In Your Eyes (Remix).
Gotopo[]
Gotopo is a Venezuelan singer and producer of Afro-Indigenous descent. She makes her series debut this year with Mi Gente lo Siente.
Lil Jon[]
Lil Jon makes his series debut this year with his featured appearance on Yeah!.
Natasja[]
Natasja makes her first and most likely only appearance this year with her song Calabria 2007. This song was a huge hit in the late 2000s and was described by many fans here as that one song you want in the game but can't remember the name of. Natasja provides the vocals on the song and this was sadly one of her last recordings before she died in a car accident in late 2007.
PJ Morton (Maroon 5)[]
PJ Morton is the keyboardist and backing vocalist for Maroon 5, as well as a Grammy-award winning singer for his solo work. He joined Maroon 5 in 2012 and this year he makes his fifth appearance in the series as part of the group. Maroon 5 makes their sixth appearance; Morton was not yet a member when Moves Like Jagger was recorded.
The Ronettes[]
The Ronettes make their series debut this year with the holiday staple Sleigh Ride. Unfortunately, the song is covered. The routine features the character Mama Christmas, who refurbishes old toys to give them a second chance at becoming gifts.
The Weeknd[]
The Weeknd makes his sixth appearance this year with In Your Eyes (Remix), the only representation of the main lore this year. This routine is the second time one of his songs was used for a prequel map, the first being Save Your Tears (Remix) on Just Dance 2022. Outside of lore, he has made four other appearances including the global hits Can’t Feel My Face and Blinding Lights.
Usher[]
R&B superstar Usher makes his second appearance this year, with the long-requested song Yeah!.
Wiz Khalifa[]
Wiz Khalifa makes his main series debut this year with his surprise guest appearance on Payphone. His appearance was unexpected due to his name not being present when the song was announced. He previously appeared on the spin-off The Hip Hop Dance Experience with Work Hard, Play Hard.
PinkPantheress and Ice Spice[]
Moving onto artists who were added to Just Dance+ after last year's blogs, and missing the cutoff for last year by days, we have PinkPantheress and Ice Spice, who both make their series debut with their collaboration Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2.
Young T & Bugsey and Headie One[]
And finally, we have British rap duo Young T & Bugsey and British rapper Headie One, who make their debut this year with their collaboration Don’t Rush.
