Ari (left), who was previously seen with her girlfriend Grace in Vampire, will return in Just Dance 2025 Edition

Hello everyone! As you all know it is Pride Month, and we are highlighting the LGBTQIA+ community! Our first blog highlighted the LGBTQIA+ artists and characters in Just Dance 2024 Edition and for this blog we will be showing off the few artists that have been revealed for Just Dance 2025 Edition and, more importantly, show off the amazing contributions we received from the community!

YOUR FANART HERE[]

Starting off with the main attraction of this blog, the community! The LGBTQIA+ community is a big part of the Just Dance community and when we asked, you delivered. This month, we received 32 entries from 17 users!

Music recommendations[]

Bornthisway jd2016 cover generic

Born This Way by Lady Gaga from Just Dance 2016 was also recommended. Adameve (center) was recently confirmed to be non-binary and their outfit was conceptualized as half-masculine, half-feminine.

This month, we also asked the community for music recommendations, including pride anthems, songs about LGBTQIA+ topics, and songs by LGBTQIA+ artists. Here are some of the suggestions we received:

Part 1 Recap[]

Before we go onto the next game, here is a recap of part 1 of the blog. If you would like more details including more details on each artist, as well information on notable allies and spotlights on one of the dancers and one of the routines, check out part 1. In the meantime, here are all of the songs in Just Dance 2024 Edition that are by LGBTQIA+ artists, as well as two that were added to Just Dance+ after last year's blog was published.

Part 1 also covered characters! As a reminder, here are the canonically LGBTQIA+ characters in Just Dance 2024 Edition.

Just Dance 2025 Edition[]

And finally, since it is June we actually have a new game announced! Just Dance 2025 Edition has just been announced, but it is still early so we only have 5 songs announced so far. Despite this, we already have 3 LGBTQIA+ artists and one notable ally confirmed to be making appearances. We also know Ari, from Vampire and Good 4 U, will return as well since she is on the cover; though her song has not been announced yet. Here are the LGBTQIA+ artists and allies that have been announced so far:

Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day)[]

Green Day will make their series debut this year with Basket Case. Lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong is bisexual.

Lady Gaga[]

Lady Gaga is back once again. Since the publication of our last blog, not one, but two Lady Gaga songs have been announced! Paparazzi will be coming to Just Dance+ next month as part of Season 3: Lights Out and Poker Face will appear on Just Dance 2025 Edition. This brings her count up to 12.

Sia[]

Sia, who is queer, returns to the series with her sixth main series appearance. Her song Unstoppable will appear in Just Dance 2025 Edition.

Ariana Grande[]

Ariana Grande is an avid supporter of LGBTQIA+ community with her charitable donations, appearances, and activism. Billboard even called her one of the biggest gay icons of her generation of 2017. She returns to the series with her fourteenth main series appearance Yes, And?. This puts her one song away from tying for the most appearances in the main series.

Conclusion[]

And that concludes our Pride Month celebrations for this year! A big thank you to everyone who submitted content and suggested songs. These blogs are much more interesting when the community gets involved and it is very nice to include everyone, especially this month since it is important to so many of us. Remember that it is important to love yourself and be who you are, no matter what your identity is. If you want to read more about previous games and see fanart and mashups from last year, please check out part 1 of this blog, part 1 of last year's blog, part 2 of last year's blog, and our 2022 blog.
