Hello everyone! It is March, which means it is time for Women's History Month! This means it is time to celebrate the women who makes this series possible, including artists, cast, and crew! Today, we will be focusing on Just Dance 2025 Edition and anything added after last year's blog. Additionally, we will also be showcasing fanart and mashups from the community. If you are unable to make anything, we are also asking the community: who is your favorite female artist in the series? Who should we see more of? These artists will be featured in the community picks section of part 2.

YOUR FANART HERE[]

As usual, we are accepting fanart and mashups to showcase in part 2. You can join in here! If you are unable to make something, we are also taking the time to discuss who our favorite artists in the series are, these artists will be featured in a community picks section of part 2. You can participate in an upcoming post! A preview of the art we have received can be found at the end of the blog.

Cast and crew[]

Several women are involved in the series, both behind and in front of the camera. Over 30 of this year's routines feature at least one female performer and there are also women working as choreographers, makeup artists, developers, and more. Here are some of them:

  • Dina Morrisett, also known as TheFairyDina, is a community member and YouTuber who has been in the community for over a decade. She competed in and hosted multiple Just Dance events, and won the Olympic Esports Series 2023. This year, she achieved her ultimate dream of becoming a coach, portraying Asterina in Training Season.
  • Audry is the wig designer at Ubisoft Paris. This means she works on the wigs and headpieces for the costumes.
  • Aurélie Sériné has been a performer with Just Dance for over a decade. This year, she has focused on choreographing, working on routines such as Stop This Fire and Halloween’s Here.
  • Caitlin is one of the score developers at Just Dance. She helped bring camera scoring to the controller app and also helps look over choreographies to make sure they are compatible with the game.
  • Celine is a costume designer at Ubisoft Paris who has been working with the franchise since Just Dance 2. In addition to designing costumes, she helps fit them to each individual performer.
  • Delphine Lemaitre is another performer-turned-choreographer who has been with the franchise since Just Dance 2018. This year, she choreographed routines such as Whenever, Wherever and Poker Face (Magical Version).
  • Estelle Manas is the choreography director at Just Dance. She oversees the choreographies done at Ubisoft Paris.
  • Gigi Palmer is a dancer and member of the French ballroom house House of Revlon. She previously appeared in Anything I Do and outside of the series she has appeared in the 2024 Olympics Opening Ceremony and on HBO's Legendary. This year she returns with the House of Revlon for Vogue (Ballroom Version).
  • Hannah Shang is one of the many talented performers working at Ubisoft Shanghai. She has appeared in at least 10 routines since 2021.
  • Hélène Jeannin, creative consultant who worked on routines such as Bang Bang! (My Neurodivergent Anthem).
  • Julie Bagalciague continues to wow us with her performances, channeling the energy of Shakira as Gaia in Whenever, Wherever.
  • Joana de Lima is a new member of the team, making both her choreographing and performing debut with Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored.
  • Julie Nouaille makes her third appearance this year, most notably she lives up to her name and gives a performance in Apple that is so Julia.
  • Lou-Ann Pédeboscq is a performer who joined the team last year. This year, she makes her first solo appearance as Lilas in Stop This Fire.
  • Natacha Pierart, a new performer and choreographer who incorporated sign language into her performance on Something I Can Feel.
  • Shirley Henault is a dancer who has been with the franchise since 2012. This year, she portrayed Leda Nox in the prequel map In Your Eyes (Remix).
  • Zoe Cattelan is one of the makeup artists at Ubisoft Paris. She is responsible for painting the performers white and putting the makeup on over that to give them the iconic Just Dance look.
  • And more! Again, this is not an exhaustive list. Over 30 routines feature at least one female performer, with most of them featuring just women.

Artists[]

This year, nearly three quarters of the songs on the main list are by women, which is an increase from last year. This increase is partially due to Ariana Grande having a record-breaking 5 songs in the game this year. She also breaks the record for the most songs in the main series.
