- For the Just Dance Kids routine, see Y.M.C.A. (Just Dance Kids).
"Y.M.C.A." by Village People is featured on Just Dance 2014, Just Dance Now, Just Dance Unlimited, and 舞力无限. The song was also in Kids Mode on Just Dance 2018 through Just Dance Unlimited prior to the shutdown of online services on July 3, 2023.
Appearance of the Dancers[]
The routine is a dance crew of 4 men. The dancers are from previous games, but with notable differences, as they have been remodeled to fit the more detailed style of the new dancers. They all have orange outlines that fade around their shoes.
P1[]
P1 is Rasputin. His black beard has grown bushier and has more detailed curls, his hat is now purple, he wears a new teal skin-tight jacket with purple and white striped lining held together with a shiny ribbon used as a belt, his purple pants are now baggier, and his boots now have a golden rim and are dark purple. He also wears a dark red glove.
P2[]
P2 is C3 from Moves Like Jagger. He appears to be more realistic.
P3[]
P3 is the coach from Viva Las Vegas. His sombrero is now yellow with a red rim, his mustache is longer, his jacket is a paler shade of red, the two bands that wrap around his chest are now yellow, a yellow tie, a red belt, a yellow toolbelt, purple pants, and yellow boots with a silver band. He also wears an orange glove.
P4[]
P4 is the coach from Dare. He keeps his white helmet with a small red flame pattern at the bottom. He no longer has his long hair. His red and white headphones appear to have a long cord going into his pocket. His t-shirt with the number 8 on it is now yellow, and the "8" is white. He has cyan sleeves. He has a white belt, cyan shorts with red lining at the bottom, knee-high red socks with purple stripes, and white shoes. He also wears an ultramarine blue glove.
Background[]
The routine takes place at a disco with bright colors. Behind the coaches, the four titular letters appear as well, and they flash during the chorus. There is also gas that changes colors throughout the routine. At the end of the routine, the screen turns black and the four titular letters flash before they fade away.

Trivia[]
General[]
- Y.M.C.A. is the first song by Village People in the series.
- In the thumbnail and video title for the US preview gameplay, the title is spelled as "YMCA", without the periods.
- The song was mentioned in the files for Just Dance 2.[3]
Classic[]
- Y.M.C.A. is the first song to have a Dance Crew with previous dancers from the Just Dance series, with the second being Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae).
- Each coach has his own avatar in Just Dance 2014. However:
- Rasputin is unlocked by paying 5 Mojo Coins.
- Moves Like Jagger is only unlockable in June with Y.M.C.A. (Mashup).
- Viva Las Vegas is only unlockable in May with Troublemaker (Mashup).
- DARE is unlocked when one reaches level 400 on the World Dance Floor.
- Thus, only one of the dancers’ avatars is actually available with the song, whereas the others have to be accessed through other means.
- When the first preview for this routine was uploaded, the pictograms were not synced with the routine. This was later fixed, and the video was re-uploaded.
- Moves Like Jagger is directly reused for this routine, while the rest of the dancers are also reused but were recolored and redesign fit the new style.
- The dancers do the actual dance for this song, making the letters Y, M, C, and A with their arms.
- At the second and third verses of the song, each dancer does an updated version of their main move from each of their original songs.
- This is also the case with the Gold Move.
- The pictogram color for Viva Las Vegas and Rasputin are different from their original colors; since the Moves Like Jagger dancer also has a red pictogram, the pictograms for Viva Las Vegas are made to appear more yellow than red, and Rasputin looks more pink than green in the updated version.
- One song from each game before Just Dance 2014 is represented within this routine, if Rasputin is taken as Hungarian Dance No. 5.
- This is similar to Just Dance, although none of the reappearing dancers are playable characters and more than one from each game besides the original game appear.
- On Just Dance Now, the menu icon has a light blue-green background instead of the correct one.
- If the menu icon is searched through the game archives, however, the original one will be found instead.
- The album coach for Y.M.C.A. features Rasputin, P2, and P4 in their coach selection pose while P4 has a completely different pose for it.
- Three unused pictograms can be found in the outdated Just Dance Now archives.
- The first one can be seen in a promotional gameplay.
- The description of Rasputin’s avatar in Just Dance 2023 Edition mentions the coach having taken part of a boy band in the past, which is likely a reference to this routine.
Mashup[]
- Y.M.C.A. is the first non-solo routine that has a solo Mashup with its own dancers appearing. It is followed by Dark Horse.
- Y.M.C.A. is the fourth Mashup to feature only one female coach, after Maneater, Love Boat, and Troublemaker.
- It is also the fifth if the scrapped Mashup for Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) is counted.
- All of the song’s coaches appear in the Mashup besides P3 (Viva Las Vegas).
- P2’s avatar can be unlocked by achieving Level 1000 on the World Dance Floor in Just Dance 2015.
- Also, the avatar seems different - his neck is now visible below his head in the avatar.
- Some pictograms for Dare are updated in the Mashup.
